I tried searching the forum, and Google, and didn't find much. I tried restoring the database but that didn't fix it.

I have a Vita on 2.61, and I managed to transfer Sports Superbikes2 onto it using my PS3. I have downloaded the save files, obtained EBOOT.PBP and renamed it 660.PBP and added it to the save files. I found the folder where my save files are kept and put the folder there, uploaded the save to the Vita, and followed the instructions (Options, Load Game, Start 2-Player Race). However, it just hangs for about 10-30 seconds and then says C1-2858 An Error Has Occurred. Does anybody have any ideas what I need to do, or what I've done wrong? I really want to play Abe's Oddysee and Spyro again :-)

Thank you in advance.

you need to be more specific but if your talking about TN-V which im guessing you are make sure the eboot is the psp 6.60 update eboot and it goes in the TNV_00000 folder as 660.PBP but as for the game itself i dont know have you tried playing it through onemenu v2 instead?

is your ps account a US one?
for my exploit game i use Mimana Iyar Chronicle in on fw 3.55

UPDATE:
ok i see what it is your doing now, your using that game to launch the ps1 loader watch this video to make sure you have done everything correctly but i would recommend using TN-V or onemenu v2 instead.

Thank you for replying!!

The video you linked said you needed to install TN-V first. Well, I got Fieldrunners and tried using this: http://psload.do.am/load/psvita/ecfw/2_61_tn_v4_ecfw_for_fieldrunners/3-1-0-10

The instructions are very unclear but I copied ICON0.PNG, SAVADATA.BIN etc over what was already in the savedata folder (C:\Users\thequ_000\Documents\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\7362e6ae2cbbd215\NPEZ00098) and copied TN.BIN, FLASH0.TN, and the 660.PBP I got somewhere else (didn't seem to be included in the download) in there as well. And copied the save data into my Vita using openCMA.

But when I open Fieldrunners, it hangs and then crashes with the same error as before (C1-2858-3).

try removing fieldrunners and redownloading it once you have done that go into the C:\Users\thequ_000\Documents\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\7362e6ae2cbbd215 folder and delete the NPEZ00098 folder or zip it up then delete it now add the NPEZ00098 and FIELDFIRMWARE folders to the C:\Users\thequ_000\Documents\PS Vita\PSAVEDATA\7362e6ae2cbbd215 folder then add the 660.PBP to the FIELDFIRMWARE folder once you have done that reload the openCMA database then one your vita load up the content manager and copy the 2 save files to your vita now load up fieldrunners on the first boot, the recovery menu should appear automatically Select ‘Advanced ->’ menu and then select ‘Install 6.60 files’ then once thats done you should be able to click exit and it load up tn-v

Thanks that sounds really clear! One quick question before I start, when you say remove and redownload Fieldrunners, do you mean delete it from the Vita (not sure how but I'm sure I can work it out) and then copy it back on from the PS3?

hold your finger down on the game until it lets you move them around and click the circle that looks like this (...) and it will say delete then copy it from your ps3 back to your vita once you have done that load up content manager and copy the game to your pc then you can restore it anytime from the pc instead of switching your ps3 on

Quantumcat if you still get the error it probs means your database is corrupt so turn off your vita and press and hold “R” + Power + PS until the recovery menu pops up and goto rebuild database then hopefully after its done that you can launch the game and it will boot the exploit

Thanks to your help I got TN-V running and installed a PS1 game by following the video. Sports Superbikes 2 still crashes when I try to run the PS1 exploit (even after rebuilding database on the Vita) but I feel I nearly know enough to be able to try different things until I can make it work. Have some errands to run now but will continue trying later in the day. Thanks again for taking the time to help me :-)

tbh just install tn-v and onemenu v2 and you will be good to go for psp/ps1 games i wouldnt bother with your superbikes exploit but before you give up give this a try, i have added updated files so stick these in your savedata location and reload opencma and then copy them to your vita and give it a try if not just skip it.

OK, yeah I think I will give up with SuperBikes, unless someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I found this tutorial which I hadn't spotted before: www.guidingtech.com/40356/install-tn-x-hacked-ps-vita/ It is a little different to the first one I read (includes copying a TNV folder). I am sure I have followed it to the letter. I even tried rebuilding database on both PC and Vita, and deleting and reinstalling the game from PS3 a few times. Nothing helped, still same old error :-(

I'll try OneMenu v2, however, I did some reading and can't find any mention of it being used to PLAY games (just install them, I already worked out how to install games with TN-V thanks to your help and the video). Can it play PS1 games, as well as install them, and I've missed that part? Thanks :-)

Hello!

I also got a PSV on 2.61, then I used the method described here http://wololo.net/2013/04/17/lower-ps-vita-firmwares-for-dummies/
to update to 3.18.

2.61 is TOOO LOW, maybe this is the problem
The 3.18 is the golden firmware for Hacks.

I bought and transfered via PS3 the Tekken 2, and it was giving me error like yours, but I fixed save solved the problem, I found some posts on the internet about a fixed save for Tekken 2 and it worked.

It's very great, now I play Tony Hawk 1 perfectly and the image is perfect!

:)

It's a bad idea to use TN-V to play PS1 games when you can use TN-X.
TN-X is a hack for the PS1 emu made for the Vita, the image quality is WAYS better, also the loadding times, extra features like fast forward, save state, and perfect sond and flawless emulation.

Lol that's exactly what I am trying to do with Sports Superbikes 2. Are you saying I have to be on exactly 3.18 and not 3.18 or lower?
