I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the 3dsx builds already use libkhax on 9.2 and below for dynarec purposes. I seem to remember using gpSP not too long ago and it ran everything I threw at it at 60 FPS.
Hmm I just tested rayman 1 on pcsx rearmed which runs full speed on cia and I'm getting less than 20fps using the latest 3dsx buld and Dynamic Recompiler enabled. I think that gpsp it's really fast on new 3ds without dynarec but the 3dsx are not using dynarec yet

@aliaspider using brahma 2 would it be possible get dynarec working on compatible cores on the .3dsx builds on a 9.2 or below system? With more ram coming soon to the 3dsx build + dynarec would be awesome.
well I was already experimenting with that (not brahma, but something else), my last try wasn't successful on n3DS, it did work on my system though.
can someone check if this .3dsx gpsp test build works correctly with dynarec on FW 9.2 or less ? ( I could only test it on 9.0 o3DS)

dynarec was implemented for gpsp on NH1 with libkhax in the early builds, but it doesn't work currently.

I have a question.

How does the Nintendo DS runs NeoGeo games at full speed (in NeoDS) being a weaker system?

optimization. These emulator ports are just too new right now to expect perfect performance. I'd like to add yesterdays .cia nightly build of GPSP is amazing, I'm getting like 55fps on Yoshi's Island and I'm on O3DS. Pokemon ran perfect except the into screen where either groudon or kyogre are displayed.

Also very promising development with PCSX I can run Final Doom at like 30 and Crash Bandicoot is in the mid 20s.

You actually got speed improvements compared to the other builds? I'll try it out once I get home.

With some sort of hardware rendering I think it'd run perfect on O3DS. Most games are fullspeed except when there's transparency effects on screen.

Well the last one I tried was last sunday I think and I was getting like 20fps on any game I tried. Now I'm getting 45-60 on any game I try. Mario Kart Super Circut being the slowest at 45. I may have just had the unlucky draw and tried a bad build though.

What firmware does have your 3ds?

You were using the builds that had dynarec disabled I think. The ones before that were already getting the speeds you described.

I specifically remember dynarec being enabled already. And I've never had to manual enable it to get said speed improvements. Like I said, probably just a bad build, they get around.

Even if it was set to enabled, it wasn't working. That's why you were getting abysmal speeds. Aliaspider fixed it recently. I'm using builds from 13/10 and they're the same as latest.

Out of curiosity, what games would you guys recommend that run the best on the PSX emulator? I've been wanting to try it out, but I've been reading that some games work well and some are at unplayable speeds. (New 3DS, 9.0 SysNAND, 9.5 EmuNAND)

woohoo :D
no everything is working fine then, neogeo roms are encrypted and it takes a while to decrypt +100MB on slow hardware. the fba core itself would need to be changed with either the ability to load decrypted roms , or a faster decryption algorithm, to avoid the 1 min freeze.

the errors are probably about unused bios files that are missing, nothing important either.
very glad to hear that it is finally working !!
How do you get the neo get emulator to run? What files do I need and where do I place them? Also what files extension do the games for neo get need to be in? Thanks in advance! I'm using a n3ds on10.2
