Wow, I now this has been asked, but I can't find where...
Where am I supposed to put the BIOS files? Maybe this should be added to the FAQ.

sd/retroarch/cores/system/
Edit: Dammit, got ninja'd.

Any GB/GBC emulator for 3ds with multiplayer/link connection for play pokemon¿?

So far, there are none for the 3DS. But if you have an iOS device, GBA4iOS is supposed to have local wireless link cable features.

Yeah, I agree with @SLiV3R. On a high-res platform like phones/desktop monitors/TVs/etc. you can do some pretty attractive-looking scaling while maintaining most of the sharpness in the picture. But on the tiny 3DS screen, the sharp 1:1 pixels are probably nicer than the benefit you'd get from accurately rendering the original platform's aspect ratio. e.g. Neo Geo games are technically a tiny bit wider than 1:1 pixels. You could accurately represent this on 3DS, but you might as well have great-looking 1:1 pixels instead of fussing with getting the aspect ratio right. Now, the further a platform deviates from 1:1 pixels, the more odd it's going to look if you keep using them, but the line where it becomes too far will vary from person to person.

For me, the only platforms in RetroArch 3DS currently that really push it are the CPS-1/CPS-2. I know the Earth is technically 27 miles wider than it is tall due to the planet's rotation, but the CPS platforms take it way too far. :P

(Second shot is how it is intended to look, at ~294 pixels wide.)

LOL I like CPS2 in widescreen :P
I don't like neogeo though

could have sworn i had an old gbatemp account.. oh well

anyway, could someone do me a favor and test Crystalis with QuickNES? for some reason this is the only game i seem to have problems with SRAM on. when i save theres never a game to load next time i start it, regardless of if i reset content, close content, or just quit retroarch

SRAM seems to be working fine with other nes games in QuickNES (tested with Ultima 3 off the top of my head), and works fine with other systems

it looks like the .srm file is being created, but not written to? or maybe it is written to but is just being ignored? no idea

Are you on o3DS or n3DS? If you're on n3DS just use FCeumm.

new 3ds but limited to 10.1/3dsx. is fceumm fullspeed at this point? i think the reason i went with quicknes originally was because fceumm had speed problems back when this thread started

or maybe i imagined that lol

That makefile doesn't have you define CTRULIB for some reason. Assuming you're using a mingw32 window, try:

Code:
export CTRULIB=$DEVKITPRO/libctru

If you're not, try:

Code:
set CTRULIB=%DEVKITPRO%\libctru

Then run make -f makefile.libretro platform=ctr again.

Couldn't get cheats to work in Picodrive. They work in Genesis Plus GX though. I wonder what's preventing them from working in Picodrive.

It probably doesn't like the fact that you called it shit.

I can confirm something wrong with the 3dsxs on n3ds,even metalslug2 won‘t work now.
Rolled back to 9/30,it works just fine.Fortunately I haven't deleted that nightly.
I think the issue came up just after the new ram treatment.
I think they messed up with the ram of n3ds

Can you upload the 9/30? Because they got removed from the website. Thanks
