In Picodrive how do you set up the controls to be six buttons for Super Street Fighter II. Also anyone got Pier Solar working it starts to loads for me then it says press start to create save file then says error and does not load. I have only tried revision c of the game which works fine on Wii and android I would love to get a working version on 3ds as the game is pretty awesome

Pier Solar? On which Emulator do you try this?
I bought this game on Wii U and REALLY WANT to play it on 3DS :D

So we saw a small performance jump again.

Ganbatte now reaches fullspeed on O3DS with V-Rally. Need to test with more games anyway. However it's not a stable framerate, it goes from 52 to fullspeed.

I'll give a few more results later.

Anyone get cheats to work in RetroArch CATSFC for 3DS/N3DS? If yes, how did you get them to work?
Will you stop asking that? Like really, that's the 30th time I've seen you ask that...

Unrelated. Did something happen while I was gone? gpSP is getting 60fps in Yoshi's Island on my n3DS with the 3dsx build.

Oh on the topic of Picodrive!
I forgot to post that I got full speed with sound/music on Sonic CD with a n3DS.
(You have to use the full ISO version, not one with separate MP3s, or you won't have music.)

OK, I tested out some cheats on F-Zero in CatSFC Plus. They worked.
  • Find cheats here. The easiest way to save an individual file is to click on it then use your browser's "Save link as ..." equivalent on the "Raw" link. If you can't figure this out, you could I guess just download the GitHub zip bundle of the entire project and find cheats in the "cht" directory.
  • Put your downloaded .cht files wherever on your 3DS SD card (not Gateway or anything, the SD card in your 3DS); there's no default "cheat" directory.
  • (Optional, set your cheat directory in Settings > Directory, otherwise you'll have to navigate to your cheats from the root each time.)
  • Start up the game you want to cheat in and in the RetroArch Quick Menu, enter Core Cheat Options and select "Cheat File Load". If you can't figure out what to do next you suck.
  • Now you should see your list of cheats. Turn on the ones you want (highlight them and press left/right on the d-pad) then hit "Apply Cheat Changes".
  • Resume your game, the cheats should now be active.
Caveat: These cheat files were all autogenerated and haven't been vetted as working. Best case scenario, they work, but other scenarios include: they don't work; they don't work and they crash your game; they don't work and they corrupt your save; etc.

You should probably specify you're using a >9.2 O3DS on you posts. V-Rally has been solid 60fps for me for some time now...

I finally got Neo Geo roms working. I assumed the bios needed to be in retroarch/cores/system like every other bios, but it apparently needs to be in the rom folder. Others having issues should try this.

I wonder what the largest rom size is now we have an extra 16MB unlocked.

Dunno if anyone has reported this but, Sonic CD runs smoothly at 60 FPS on Genesis Plus GX until it loads CD audio, then it dips to 52-56 FPS and on Special Stages it runs at 46-49 FPS. However, Redbook Audio still lets the game run at 60 FPS.

Tested on N3DS XL.

Try Picodrive.

There's still a lot of room for improvement. GPU acceleration may or may not come eventually, and more cores might see dynarec added to 9.2 systems and below. If you're considering upgrading to a New 3DS do it - it will always be better. But there's still potential for improvement on the Old 3DS too.

And don't forget that you can actually use the 3D on the new ones.

Don't hold your breath for GPU acceleration, by the way. It's one thing to port over existing cores and seeing what works, enabling existing optimisations etc. It's another thing to code GPU acceleration from scratch, and this may also have to be core specific. I'd be surprised if this happens, lets wait and see.

Okay, tried it ,too.
Got the same error :/
Is there a way to fix it?
"Something wrong happened"

Pier Solar was designed intentionally not to run on emulators to encourage people to buy it rather than pirating it. Genesis Plus GX is far more accurate than Picodrive and even then needed an update before it could run Pier Solar. That's not to say it's impossible to run it on Picodrive, but it would take either someone greatly enhancing Picodrive or hacking Pier Solar. There's not likely to be any settings to can tweak to make it work.

That'S weird :/
Hopefully there will be a way to play it on Picodrive sometime.

Btw. the newest Build of PCSX_ReARMed crashes on loading Game... everytime.
Have to use a older build.
