I wonder if you can intercept the web traffic (update) and substitute the 5.3.2 update, kinda like how you do it with the Vita...

No.

This has been asked 100000 times, search the forum, and use some common sense.

How the heck you're that freaking sure I havent searched before asking. Do you think that there is someone who would rather listen to some moronish comment rather than press the serch button.
I didnt find as clear cut question.

Thanks for your two letters contribution (No).
Cheers!

I'm sure that you didn't search the forum, because if you did, you would have found the answer and this thread wouldn't exist

Hi guys,
Is there a way to update WiiU to 5.3.2 from 4.1 without a disk?
Many thanks
Actually, you probably could spoof 5.5 if everything was backported to 4.1. (websploit, kernel, wup spoof)
Looks like everything is targeted at 5.3.2 + so my friend you will need to acquire a disc with 5.3.2 on disc update.....
(Be careful with new off shelf games though, it would appear the restocks can contain 5.4+ update on disc)
On this forum there is a list of titles with the firmware updates they contain.....

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
