Hacking What version software do Wii U's ship on?

Just out of interest guys, what version did your Wii U come on?

I'm thinking of getting the Mario Kart 8 bundle Wii U or Super Mario Maker bundle Wii U and swapping the console for mine which is updated (sneaky, I know ;P) but I'm worried if I buy the Super Mario Maker one it'll come on 5.5.0...

Do we know for sure if the MK8 bundle comes on 5.3.2 or less (domains blocked and have splatoon which incl. 5.3.2 update)?

Might be a good resource to make a table if everyone would post what their Wii U package came with software wise so people buying them can see what to get!

My Mario Maker bundle arrived with 5.4.0. Too new for the upcoming exploits, too old to actually get on eShop and download Mario Maker.

I recently bought a new Super Mario 3D World/Nintendo Land bundle, and it shipped with 5.3.2.

I bought the same bundle as Blundermann and mine is 5.2.0.

I wouldn't recommend trying the old switcheroo on a console. A majority of retailers log the serial number off the box and will catch the mismatch.

I bought one last week - came with 5.3.2. But since it's a refurb, hard to say. It's probably a case by case basis.

It's also a bummer because WindWaker comes as a digital download, so unless the spoofer gives us eShop, no way to play it.

Yeah, I was bummed. NintendoLand is pretty fun, but yeah WW would be much better haha. A buddy let me borrow Mario Kart and SSB, and trust me you won't be disapointed with the system! You could always sell the code on eBay and pick up the real game too, or perhaps someone here would trade you.

On a related note, does anyone know what version the white Basic editions ship on? Are they even still being produced?
I'm asking because a white Wii U with no gamepad costs $100 new and that's something I might buy in the future to have a console for hacking, and use my existing one for legit stuff.

If you can still find a Wii U Deluxe with New Super Luigi Bros U bundle floating around, it probably has less than 5.3.2. mine did. Think that bundle came out beginning of last year i think.
