One more working game, Mega Man: The Power Battle. This is a bit of a complicated one, the original Power Battle (ROMset: megaman) was a CPS-1 game. It was ported to CPS-2 but that version was never given a full release in the west. It does look like they had a location test or something, however, as there is a SAMPLE version. This ROMset (mmancp2u) is a clone of the original CPS-1 game, so you need to have both ROMsets together in your ROM directory to launch it. Don't try to launch the parent megaman.zip, it won't work because that's a CPS-1 game. Instead, launch mmancp2u.zip.

Full working list:
  • csclub (Capcom Sports Club)
  • megaman2 (Mega Man: The Power Fighters)
  • mmancp2u (Mega Man: The Power Battle; requires parent megaman)
  • sfa (Street Fighter Alpha)
  • spf2t (Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo)
Seems alot of those games need there parent:
csclubj:
- [FBA] Archive: csclubj
- [FBA] Archive: csclub
- [FBA] Failed to find archive: sdmc:/Emuroms/FBACPS2/csclub
- RetroArch
:: Failed to load content.
- RetroArch [INFO] :: Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.

It's a pitty you need to hard reset afterwards, should be an error check, missing rom or wrong romset, errors message and return to current emu menu to try/run another romset

Tried the NGP and WonderWsan cores, had some hope with those but they're both too slow on O3DS. Well at least we get NES, GB/C, Master System and Game Gear. Not too shabby. That's way better than emulating on the DS already.

If you set the GBC colorization option to auto in the core options you can get color in GB games. You can also select a specific color palette too.

Master system and gamegear is fullspeed on o3ds?

So is anybody able to save with gpsp??
Still unable to save in Megaman Battle Network 6.

Dunno if anyone had tested this yet, but...

Picodrive is running Master System games at fullspeed on O3DS. Getting 80fps max.

Picodrive isn't working for me. Just tried it with the Master System version of Sonic The Hedgehog and it freezes as soon as I try to load the game.
I haven't checked Genesis Plus GX with GG games yet though, so I'll try that out and report back.

It probably only works as .cia, as that's what I'm using.

Ah, figures. I just tried .gg and .sms games on Genesis Plus and they work rather nicely - GameGear games run fullspeed at all times while Master System games slow down to 57 fps occasionally but it's pretty darn good!

The Master System games I tried on Genesis Plus GX were kinda slow, around 50fps.

You're in Austrailia, right? I just bought an Austrailian New 3DS from eBay with 9.0 on it. Including shipping and everything, it ended up costing about as much as the Animal Crossing bundle will be priced here. If you've got the money, you should look and see if any of your local retailers have any old ones they haven't sold since launch. Or grab one from ebay. It will end up costing less for you since you won't be paying for international shipping like I did. Normally you'd pay an arm and a leg for an exploitable system, but that doesn't look like it's the case for the Australian models.

Back on topic: The new CPS2 emulator is phenomenal and very impressive for a first release. The screen size just suits the 3DS so well, too! Any games I'm missing out on? I've got the MegaMan ones but I can't think of any good titles to try out.
Yeah, well its not really a Australian system as there are no Australian technologies, Its just European region they sell here. And i do not have the money for a n3ds. So there is no such thing as Australian region, its just European region and uses PAL but maybe i will just get an exploitable o3ds

Be careful with that though - I've loaded zipped ROMs before, but there's a slim chance the emulator will hard freeze (and say "cannot push null or empty core...") when trying to load it. I've not had such a problem with unzipped ROMs.
How are you guys generally going with zipped roms? I gave up after initially getting an error message like above and later found that zipped roms were supported.
