Hacking Will the Wii U autopowerdown when frozen?

Thats my question, its very annoying having to unplug it each time, its such a pain, im playing wiimmfi then I black screen while a course is loading. Will it turn off if I leave it for 1 hour, and may there be such other way to turn it off without unplugging it when its frozen?

the WiiU is basically doing nothing useful, so you have to yank the plug...

If you are lazy to unplug, get a surge protector/tap with a switch, plug your WiiU on there, put your foot on the switch, and just hit the switch when the WiiU is frozen

Sometimes, the Wii U will not turn off even when you hold the power button.
This is especially true for vWii.

tbh i find unplugging and replugging faster, plus you skip the "DONT HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON!!!!" warning

yeah happens on 4.1.0 and 5.3.2 at least (if you power down by holding the off button, even if the system has crashed), but doesn't pop up if you just pull the plug
