I would pay for that giant Bowser on Moo Moo Meadows. And same, I'm also super excited for moonjump/teleportation codes too, and hopefully a "disable boundaries code". Really excited for the future of Wii U hacking, and what we will do with all of it.

Question: So basically, I'm trying to get 10 coins, and I have 5 coins right now, and I'm just wondering, what should I set the "Memory Range" on TCPGecko?

I have quickly found a lot of useful and funny things!
I love it when things come out the way I imagine:

WELL YOU DID IT. GG
And what version is this for?

WELL YOU DID IT. GG
Oups, forgot to answer your question, well, I have no idea since a lot of useful things are in range 45000000 - 4B000000.
I'd suggest to search for coins everywhere. First range 10000000 - 18000000. then 18000000 - 20000000 and so on. If the game uses pointers for it stay in the same level. 8Bit data type may be the best for this

This is the glorious future of convenient RAM hacking. We don't really need codetypes when we have client-side programming with poke() and read() commands. That's pretty much all we need. A server-sided search function would be very handy too. :)

Hey bully is there a way to make the changes permanent? Using a non updated version or mk8 and I changed the offset manually to unlock everything but after restarting the game changes weren't save

It should become permanent if you force the game to save, for example by completing a time trial race and saving your new record.

Coins have been found so focus on something else. Also I tried laps before but it didn't quite succeed.

I plan to add Gecko code types to Uwizard when I add Gecko dotNET. One other code type that hasn't been mentioned yet, but I feel is useful is the F0 search code. I have used that in many of my Wii codes, and I really miss it now in Gecko dotNET.
It's actually the F6 codetype. Also there is progress ;)
Finding pointers is tough. I gave up with Bully's tool
Why dude. Which problems are you having. It's easy to use :/
The first code I will release is how to make the last mushroom of a triple mushroom last forever and automatically boost forever. (Or until you get lightninged.)
I already did that a while ago, lol so you can strike this on your releases list but the others look interesting :)

hmm that's weird, i edited the offset and played a few 4 races with my family. i think it's not saving my game after we finish. But thanks for replying i will try do a solo time trial later.

WOW! Great! BTW, the "Gravety strenght" is re-allocated each time. I had looked for the pointer, but with no luck.

I want to load bigger dumps into my pathetic 1GB RAM by streaming from the disk, and do more advanced processing on them like section weighting, offset divisibility, multiple pointers in different dumps, etc. If your tool can do that, please tell me how to use it.

Oh, LOL. I'll check if that pointer works for me. If it does, then I'll strike rapid-fire mushroom off my list. :)

I have noticed that too :(
I'll do a pointer search for it, soon :)
I would suggest looking between 0x25000000 and 0x40000000. I've found the pointer to player 1's reverse speed there.

Well, it simply loads all dumps into the memory and starts processing. With only 1 GB of RAM you won't be happy doing Wii U pointer searches no matter how amazing your algorithm will be. You could also upload some RAM dumps and let others (like me) do the search for you :P

Last edited by BullyWiiPlaza,
I did my dumps from 10 to 26 (instead of full 10 to 45) to make a smaller dump. (350MB)
Would that work too ? (the pointer seems to be around 111B16F0 and my cheat location around 24 so I think I don't need to dump more.

I can find the pointer manually (with hexworkshop lol), but pointer to pointer I don't know, it's too difficult :p
my pointer is not always at the same location on my dumps, so I guess it's a sign of pointer of pointer, right?

Sometimes it's better to use the Memory viewer search function and scan if there is some data near to your target address which can be found only once or something like that. At least that is how F6 codetypes work. It would be easier for porting codes to other versions I guess.

Well, you may want to get used to the taste of your words... You might eat your last message after you try this code I made with a pointer that I found using my own program that I just finished that streams the data from the disk so that no more than 100MB RAM is allocated at a time! :D It's the same method Netflix uses. They'd have some pretty unhappy customers if people had to download a 10GB movie file before they could watch the movie. :P

Change current item: (NTSC-U MK8 v4.0)
[3FB3CD70] + 12C = 000000XX
[3FB3CD70] + 130 = 000000XX
[3FB3CD70] + 134 = 000000XX

Set XX to whatever item you want according to this chart: (I've found that Star works very well.)
Single Banana - 00000000
Single Green Shell - 00000001
Single Red Shell - 00000002
Single Mushroom - 00000003
Bobomb - 00000004
Blooper/Squid - 00000005
Blue Shell - 00000006
Triple Mushroom - 00000007
Star - 00000008
Bullet Bill - 00000009
Super Horn - 00000010
Triple Banana - 00000011
Triple Red Shells - 00000013
Crazy 8 - 00000014
Lightning - 0000000A
Golden Mushrooms 0000000B
Fire Flower - 0000000C
Pirana plant 0000000D
Boomerang - 0000000E
Coin - 0000000F
note: Sometimes it doesn't work for certain items, and sometimes the character loses the ability to collect any more items for the race. This is after all my first code for MK8, so expect that my future codes will work a little better. ;)
WARNING: YOU CANNOT CHANGE A TRIPLE ITEM INTO A SINGLE OR VICE VERSA WITH THIS CODE!!!

Has anyone tried those Pimin 3 Pal/Disk codes on a USA Digital copy? I have on mine and they do not seem to do anything I was curious if possibly I was doing it wrong,
