Ahh maybe I misunderstood what you meant.

Some way to implement (automatic) theme change from HBL? Very difficult, unuseful, or possible?

Oh... About that... Well, maybe "automatic" word is the problem!... Yes, is only a misundertood, sorry!

But, speaking about that, would be interesting (but not necesary, indeed) if any randomly set themes function will be implemented!

Konami code only changes water color. To change themes, just press START button, and later L or R.

So, can we change the colour that the water changes to,using the code. That way, if I want to be cool with my friends and show them this awesome code to change the colour of the water, to say green, I can.

ATM, only by color default programmed by Smea, I guess!... But, why do you only want to change water color if you can change almost all stuffs colors on screen with custom themes?

Because I'm grown to like the current HBL theme, but I would like to change, let's call it the Konami Root Beer, to something like Mountain Dew, Orange Crush or Cream Soda. I love putting the code in for kicks, I realize this is a pretty minor reason to change something so small. Also, what's the point of using the Konami code, unless what it does is really awesome and cool, like change the water to Mountain Dew

If you or someone get on reprogramming this feature, sure, because HBL source code is open... But, with current Suloku's custom HBL, not possible! BTW, ask him, if you want!

Here you go! it will replace your boot.3dsx with soloku's mod which have many more features but if you want backup your boot.3dsx before.
Just drag, drop, replace and merge the files on this zip on the root of your SD card and launch the hombrew launcher.

I like the randomize theme suggestion, I didn't think about it, expect an update today (can't say if in 3 hours or 24 though)

EDIT:

Random theme version is up.
Also, I added to themes.xml all the themes that have appeared in this thread untill now (author in comments on each theme, of course)
