That would mean that we wouldn't be able to use TCPGecko at all in newer games, which sucks if you'd want to cheat in Zelda U for example
Maybe fw spoofing will be enough for Zelda U to run.
Or maybe an AIO osdriver+fwspoofer+tcpgecko+online disabler, if it's possible.

Maybe it could be possible to close all ports needed for playing online when TCPGecko is running so that only the port needed for TCPGecko or Cafiine or whatever is open...

Is there a list with Disc-FWs? Or can someone tell me which fw is on Mario Maker?
I'm on 5.4.0 and I don't want to get "surprised" after I put the disc in! :(

I don't get why some people are against firmware spoofing, how else will people be able to safely "update" without ruining the exploit or being able to play the latest games? Are people expected to be left in the dust and or spend $200-300 dollars on new console just to play a $50 game? That's just ridiculous. How do people know there won't be measures to prevent cheating with FW spoofing?

I had a feeling about this, but still:
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Blocking the URLs won't help when there is a disc-update! D:
And I assume it doesn't ask you before the game launches? :(

You can't bypass this update as of now, but just wait a bit, the devs are working on firmware spoofing ;)

MN1, NW123Player & Team how to know create a firmware spoofing but they are afraid online cheat and because of this nothing happen, they know firmware spoofing is more important than MODs and VC.
Thank you guys for your support but we need more people bolder like Crediar appear to the scene move more fast.

Boy I wish that people would stop with this BS. If you actually participate in this thread outside of conspiracy theories you'd realize that FW spoofing testing has been going on for about the past week, and that while there are people who are worried about cheating, the main issue holding spoofing back is that they're trying to cheat their way into the system without IOSU permissions so that a spoof can be achieved in the first place. From what I can tell they basically need to spoof the IOSU before they can spoof the FW, which is a major undertaking

So, if i get that correctly, Mario maker is coming with a 5.4.0 FW update on disc.
As a 5.3.2 user, i would need to run a firmware spoofer(when available) each time i want to play, even to create levels offline.
As the exploits is not that user friendly, that brings again the IOSU necessity, to get a more longlasting solution than the browser exploit.
Is it something in line with actual devs ?
Do you get a bit of progress on that particular point (not asking ETA)?

Seriously people not making a spoofer becuase of the fear of online cheating is ridiculous, spoofer lets you play the newer games and retain homebrew and acess to e shop if people use it for cheating to bad for them let nintendo ban them problem solved.
