If I download a save file from the internet is it possible to put it on the game card with a homebrew app?
Are you sure that would work? Has it been tested?you can use save manager on ninjahax 2.1/tubehax/ironhax with new boot.3dsx
I haven't actually got a save file for a game (Due to computer being fixed) I was just curious if it would actually work, as I've put OOT3Dhax on my OOT game card with a save game manager. Wouldn't it follow the same premise?the save games need to be in save manage/save data filer format and not all games working simply. what is your game and what is tha save file name?
Care to explain the process of what you did to me?Just tested it with the CodeName Steam demo save (from my N3DS to my O3DS) and it seems to work!
However, because the secure value system is included on games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokemon Shuffle, and a few others, I think that save sharing with those will not be possible (at least without any modification to the save).
Care to explain the process of what you did to me?
Bad English? I didn't see a problem with it! Thanks for the help, might try it out later, but before I do I'll post here what game and what save file I'm using to see if someone can verify if it will work (As long as they have a PAL system)To do what I did, you need TubeHax (or IronHax, or Ninjhax, you can find how to install it here: http://smealum.github.io/3ds/)).
First, put the Save Data Manager in the /3ds folder on your SD card (you can find it here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/save-data-manager-and-editor-for-firmware-up-to-9-9.396245/)
Then, open the Homebrew Launcher with whateverHax you choosed, and select "Save Manager". Open it, and choose the game you want to backup the save from (use the left and right button on the d-pad to do that). Press A, and once you got a black screen with "backup save data", "restore save data" and "exit", press A. Once the screen returned to its original state, turn off your 3DS, and remove your SD card. A folder "saveDataBackup" should have been created ; in this folder, you can find your save. It can take very different forms depending on your game ; for Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS for example, it will be a "main" file ; on Pokemon Rumble World, it will be a folder called "00slot00" with tens of .dat files inside, for Resident Evil: Revelations, there will be 3 files, called "000.dat, 001.dat and 100.dat" etc etc...
Anyway, whatever your save is called, copy ALL the files from the "saveDataBackup" folder, and then you are free to share it with the world!
To restore your save on a different 3DS, like I did, you just have to install the exploit on your other console, create a folder "saveDataBackup" on its SD card and then put the save in it, use the Save Manager on the game like before, BUT this time press B and not A on the black screen! Your save file should be installed on your other console after that!
BUT BE CAREFUL! Before doing that, check if your game uses the Secure Value system, and if it uses it, DON'T restore your save on another console, share it, or even restore it on the console you created it from if you used the game after backing up the save, because the 3DS will consider it as corrupted!
(Sorry for my bad english btw)
The latter.Quick question! How would I go about putting my save data back on the cart? Would I have to delete the save I put on there or does it just overwrite the save?
Thanks for that info! Trying to find out as much as I can before I attempt this so all the info helps! If you know anything else that might help me don't hesitate to let me know! The latter.
European and Australian are basically the same, they are from the same region (PAL), so it will work without any doubt.Another quick question! Will European saves work on an Australian game cart? Or are there saves different?
can you link me this usa section please?Any good sites for getting saves? I know there's a download section here with save files but they're mostly USA saves and I don't feel like breaking my cart with an out of region save
There is no USA section, most of the saves on the filetrip link here are for US gamescan you link me this usa section please?
If you make a backup if your original save, you can try the USA one. Saves are stored in a different partition on the game cart, so if it doesn't work, just restore the original one. The game itself is write protected on the cart!Any good sites for getting saves?
