Alright so I have an Xbox 360 E console with the lastest dashboard and updates. Any hacks for this that don't require any special chips or circuit boards? Like I'm happy to do some soldering on the NAND chip to connect it to a PC and hack it (if that's what you do to an xbox 360). If I can hack it, is there anyway to dual boot with sysNAND and emuNAND? Sorry if I've asked any stupid questions because I'm new to Xbox 360 modding I've only hard modded DS and Wiis. So will JTAG or RGH or anything like that work?

How do you do that? Any links? What I really wanted was something like RGH or JTAG to play games off HDD because apparently you can RGH the latest xbox 360 e? I don't want to buy any special tools for connecting the xbox 360 to my pc for flashing or anything but what I can do is solder wires, resistors, and other common electronics parts to connect it.

Ahh yes I'm reading through some guides to get a fairly good idea of what can be done. I'll be checking what motherboard for my 360 I have.

And something else? What is corona v1,2,3...?

Since yours is the redesigned Slim, it's either a Corona V5 or V6 (possibly a Winchester)
Does it have a HDD?, if not, you'll need a SD R/W kit.
A Coolrunner 4 XL will suffice, with POST Fix adapter as that's required since it doesn't have a POST OUT.

I've got the 4gb one with no HDD. So is mine v6?

Probably Sept '13.
It's a Corona for sure.

SD R/W kit + CR 4XL + POST Fix adapter is what you need then ;]
Software side of it, use JRunner.

Sorry for my extremely nooby questions but what are those tools? And can you give me links to where I can buy them?

SD R/W kit is the kit that dumps the MMC (or NAND to make it easier) the CR4 XL is the chip that glitches the console into loading unsigned code (the RGH chip) and the POST fix adapter is needed to for the correct working of the chip.

I think OZModchips should have those in stock.
If not, check on the site of Team Xecuter for official retailers.

I wan't to flash dvd drive. In this case is the motherboard unnecessay and dvd drive model more important?

Flashing the drive is impossible, you'll need to RGH it and replace the DVD board with a replacement board since the DVD key lays in the NAND.
If you purely want to play backups then you could pay someone to put an Xkey in it.
Otherwise, RGH is the only real option.

Dual NAND is possible tho, you'll need a DemoN for it then as well.
You can then have a hacked NAND and a Live NAND and switch between them.
