So i can use cakesfw and multipatcher to play us games? rxtools has region free does it use multipatcher?Correct me if I'm wrong. But aside from Gateway, no CFW has native region free, does it?
I thought we were all using @RednaxelaNnamtra's multipatcher for that.

rxTools has regionfree for cias, but it doesn't allow you to use modules with an update partition.Correct me if I'm wrong. But aside from Gateway, no CFW has native region free, does it?

yes, but there is a problem with some games, were you cant use dlc, and you can't open other region manuals. An other way to have regionfree would be ntr cfw, it removes this limitations, because its regionfree is implemented in a other way.So i can use cakesfw and multipatcher to play us games? rxtools has region free does it use multipatcher?
Is someone has some native-firms (firmware.bin) usable on cakes ? I want to run ninjHAX 1.1 on a 4.5 emuNAND, like @mid-kid said !This has taken way too long, but I've finished a new release: 46.
A lot has happened since last release, but not much that's noticeable for the end user.
Have a list of notable new stuff:
- Autoboot (Press "L" to enter the menu)
- Cake selection is saved
- Multiple firmware.bin versions. (see the patches directory)
The patches directory now has subdirectories that contain cakes for different NATIVE_FIRM versions.
Here's a list of all the versions: http://3dbrew.org/wiki/Configuration_Memory#NATIVE_FIRM_Versions
For example, the latest firmware.bin (like the one provided by rxTools) is 0x49.
You can remove all the cakes you don't need, place them in a different directory structure and rename them if you want.
If you want to use a different NATIVE_FIRM version, download it from this URL, change the latest two letters to correspond with your firmware version, and rename it as firmware.bin.
For example, if I wanted to run Ninjhax on firmware 4.5, I'd change the latest two letters to "1F", enable the signature patches, and install Ninjhax normally.
Please note that only the latest NATIVE_FIRM can boot the latest emuNAND. Also, not all NATIVE_FIRM versions are covered by our signatures.cake. We're open to contributions, of course.
Afaik, you won't be able to have the Rom Menu through only NATIVE_FIRM, you need to have both ARM9 and ARM11 kernel level code execution for that to workDepends on if it can be done completely from the NATIVE_FIRM.
Also, sorry for not having done anything in a while. I do plan on continuing working on it.
Thanks guys, I'd forgotten about NTR and I dont use .cia games so I didn't realise rxTools had that feature (it's also not in the features list on the official thread, I checked before asking).rxTools has regionfree for cias, but it doesn't allow you to use modules with an update partition.
seriously how do i load cakes with the web browser?
which link?
thanks.
Freeze on this screen for me 9.2.0-20E o3DS, 4.5.0-8E emuNAND with the file 0000001f, do I also need to be on 4.5 sysNAND ? Or a different firmkey ?@pakrett
Look on the iso site, on the CakesFW thread.
@mid-kid
Does the code.bin (second QR code) still works to install 4.x MSET cakeCFW loading?

8.1J, No.All I gotta do is wait for cakes to have regionfree....
I can install this on an 8.1J N3DS, can I?
It already has GW setup, so shouldn't be too much of a hassle would it?
Cuz every other CFW needs a browser at least to start up.
