Because they probably already do. I mean, one user here got sued for $1 million for leaking a game 6 years ago, so I'm sure Nintendo does keep an eye on this forum.why we're not just ask nintendo if they know that the 5.4.0 and 5.5.0 exploit exists and if they patch it in a next update when they say yes than release it
Welcome to the club. The only reason I'm on 5.4.0 was because I was told that it was safe to update, or else I'd still be on 5.3.2. Guess I should have been a bit more hesitant towards updating.
That pisses me off too. Obviously, 5.4 isn't safe as they're needlessly holding back the browser exploit. It would have been better if they didn't release the kernel exploit.
inb4 "they claim they didn't say it was safe".
You guys are being silly. 5.4.0 is safe, which means that it is exploitable. For some reason you guys assume that the exploits for 5.3.2 and 5.4.0 would be released at the same time, but this timing wasn't the question any of you asked.I too fell victim to the initial "safe to update news" and figured what the hell, may as well get my last smash DLC before the hack releases. Nope lol. Oh well, It's not like it's gone forever, it will eventually happen. They are just waiting until the right time.
Feel free to explain how I'm being "silly". I'm aware that 5.4.0 is safe, hence why I'm staying there and am not updating. 5.4.0 has been out for roughly two months, and many reputable sources were saying that it was safe to update, most likely because they had code execution on it already, which implies that work, to some degree, had been done on it. It wasn't made clear until recently, though, exactly how much work had actually been done on 5.4.0. Therefore, one can, at that time, safely conclude that 5.4.0 support was possible to release since confirmation only came mere hours/days after the firmware release showing that only a small amount of work had to be done to port it to the new firmware, however, it's only because of a missing piece of key information (That is, that it isn't in a usable form yet because their focus has been on other things) that the conclusion could have been drawn. As is apparent, I'm not the only person to have made this assumption. You guys are being silly. 5.4.0 is safe, which means that it is exploitable. I would damn well release it if I had it. But I don't.So not only needlessly holding back the browser exploit, but they're needlessly holding back this converter too?
WTH is going on with the Wii U Scene?! I actually miss the Wii Scene.
Your link seems to be timing out. If you want, and the rest of the staff agree with me, I can open a subforum on the site I administer and you can use our site as a reliable host. (It's a Pokemon hacking site but it might be getting revamped later on so don't worry too much about it)
i opened a wiiu, mk8 and nsmbu hacking forum

Really the only thing you can do is edit it in memory before the game gets to it, which should be possible with the Cafiine rewrite since it can patch memory on boot before jumping to main and any code is run. It's also possible normally with TCPGecko but it can get super messy.I just tried to update Super Smash Bros. from 1.0.7 to 1.1.0 and yes, the RPX is still the same (but file replacement in other folders works fine) and the game goes weird ( http://i.imgur.com/NCxGnfJ.jpg XD ), do you have any idea on how to replace files in the "code" folder ?
have you tried: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-run-the-kernel-exploit-on-your-wiiu-tips.395335/help i am so confuse how to run the browser exploit to use the kernel exploit?
please look here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-run-the-kernel-exploit-on-your-wiiu-tips.395335/why isn't their no videos showing how to launch the kernel exploit?
Lucky you, I'm on 5.5.0.Welcome to the club. The only reason I'm on 5.4.0 was because I was told that it was safe to update, or else I'd still be on 5.3.2. Guess I should have been a bit more hesitant towards updating.
Hey guys, I havent been following the scene for quite some time now.
Im on 5.3.2 atm, is it still THE firmware to be on?
Also, hows it looking for ahoy rum rum people?
I have changed the movie menu of Mario Kart 8 ^^
Yes but it will take a lot of work. But can be done. I just wait when there is a program that let you make it easier to do itI wonder if it's possible to import tracks from MK7
