This doesn't work for me either but Usagimon helped! Thanks anyway.

Just use the save back-up/restore from LeafTools and upload the mori## file to the Ram Editor.
It does the same function; I'm using those for now.

However, I did notice that Marc Max's editor doesn't overwrite/restore furniture if the save file has furniture arranged differently... if that makes sense, while the LeafTool save backup restores furniture.
Thank you!

I'm so pissed. I have an original launch 3DS that I was lucky to have on 9.5.0-22. The exact last possible firmware this works on. I kept it around solely to do Animal Crossing hacks. I bought myself a second cartridge and made a town just for hacking. I haven't played it for months but my friend came over last night. Without me knowing, he updated my DS and man I am just so pissed. It was just a mindless thing too. I stepped out of the room for five minutes, and all he did was update it, look at the shop for two seconds and was done. Words cannot express my annoyance.

Go set up tubehax and wait for TDVS then.

I haven't been in the scene lately. I don't know what TDVS is. However, I did just install tubehax today but all it did was give me some error message.
Look around the forums to get Tubehax working, it's possible your next chance to do any save editing. TVDS is said to be an upcoming save extractor that will work on Ninjhax 2, Tubehax, and Ironhax.

Read the first few posts in the thread to get an idea: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release...appy-home-designer-offline-save-fixer.394261/

Can somebody tell me exactly how the Item Generator is supposed to work, please?

When I scan the QR code it goes to the page and it looks like it might be doing something but no. I get like a notification - 'An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, then restart the system.'
And then there's no change in my game.

My 3DS is Ver. 5.1.0-10E
And my browser is 1.7498

I'm really just looking for the sloppy series tbh, so you could help me out that way either. ;D

you need:
9.x Version
1.7567 browser

I will PM with more information

I have done a little research into both, but I can't find a complete method to upgrade the firmware safely. This will probably sound a bit 'nooby' but how would I go about upgrade the firmware?
I will send you a PM with the instructions and the files needed :)

The editor is now partially compatible with garden.dat savegames. You can load and save but checksums ARE NOT updated yet, so you'll need WulfyStylez tool for now.

Porting the checksum calculator to JS is not an easy task. JS works at a very high level and messes variables up.

Can anyone explain to me why or what is preventing the hacks from working anymore? Because they're working fine for me, so I don't get it?

Good news, Thulinma (who created the pattern editor) helped me to find a clean crc32 function for JS and seems to be working flawlessly with the given table :-) More news coming soon!

Which hack are you talking about?
garden.dat savegames are not the same as RAM dumps.

Egh, nevermind. Was thinking of something else.
Hey, can you tell me exactly what I need to do to change a villager's name and/or appearance if I can with any existing tool(s)?
