To build upon what Xenon Hacks said, if you are on a hackable firmware you can install a CFW, enabling you to play GB, GBC and GBA games directly on your 3DS. DS games require a DS flashcart such as the two Xenon Hacks listed. You can also emulate GB, GBC and GBA games on a Supercard DSTWO, but at this point the 3DS has a better emulator built in. If you aren't on a hackable firmware and want to run all of those types of games, then a Supercard DSTWO is the way to go.

I already have sky3ds. Supercard is imo too expensive and I'd better buy a chinese gba console for about 30$ so half of the supercard price. How about r4? I only wanna play pokemon from gba (and its hacks...)
If you know where i can buy supercard cheaper please let me know. It needs to be with shipping to EU cuz I'm from EU (but have japanese 3ds :D)

An updated SuperCard DS Two will work on any DS, DSi and 3DS/N3DS/2DS console. And it's primary features are running DS ROMs and homebrews ;)

They still haven't fixed that?

Most r4 cards will have a real hard time playing gba games, the dstwo only works so well because it has a built in processor

Well, you can update the bootloader yourself renaming the update filename if the card won't boot. When I say updated card it's because some re sellers don't update the bootloader before sending the card (happened twice with friends that bought them in Brazil last year).
Essentially SuperCard DS Two was future-proof from the start.

@bololabich GBA emulation in flashcards other than SuperCard DS Two is very poor performance wise, you would be better emulating them on a smartphone or through chinese consoles like you said =/

How would they fix that? Most cards come preupdated depending on where you buy it and how old their stock is but there's nothing they can do about old stock.

This is a big difference [emoji14] 10$ is not a small money.... Maybe in the USA it isn't too much money but for me living in europe it is...

10$ is only little less than the most of people get for one working day...

You shouldn't be spending money on video game consoles/accessories if you only get paid $15.21 a day (minimum wage).
