Lol, of course when I finally get cubic ninja, this happens. Oh well, I'll have Cubic Ninja just in case :P.

Also, I hope this gets more homebrew out there, now that every person with a 3DS could run homebrew if they wish. :D

Ironhax - 8/7/15
3DS FW 10.0.0-20 - 8/11/15

Smea did also mention a way to keep persistent homebrew access even after a FW update was released as long as freehax was installed before-hand. Wonder what that is going to entail....

Wait ironhax releases on the 7th? If so, that's my birthday! :toot:

Sema seems to be a bit of a dick saying people explaining why they love emulation to have a "hang up"...

Actually, it's more like people hate 3DS homebrew because you can emulate stuff and emulation == piracy, never mind that PCs have tons of emulators and no-one complains about those.

Hes saying that people that are against piracy(emulation being a form of piracy) shouldn't be against his homebrew enabler. Which is what I find ironic.

I don't think he's telling people that enjoy portable emulation to have a "hang up". He's explaining how they just misinterpreted his statement. :P

And then after Smea puts most speculations to rest, nobody talks about it anymore

Anyway, here's a question to whomever's still at the edge of their seats: Which kind of features would you like to see being run using Ironhax? It's said it'll do everything Ninjhax can, but is there anything Ninjhax can't and you'd enjoy seeing it being done with Ironhax?

Besides region-free gaming, I'd really love to see a day when the 3DS will display full folder names instead of just a single letter, it would be so helpful when categorizing icons!

i use those 1 letter folders to put
Sys Nand 420-9u
on my sysnand so I don't accidentally use it for anything lol.

Love the OP's profile pic.

Anyways, hopefully this will stimulate more people into making more homebrew. We barely have anything homebrew wise. I've seen 1 or 2 cool games but besides that only emulators. COME ON GUYS! You can do better.

Why not port some flash games over to 3DS? I've seen one already. Or make a Instant Messenger? Skype on 3DS anyone?

If Skype didn't make their API closed-source and, in 2013, disabled most of its features, that would be a possibility. It's too bad too, I'll be down to look into it otherwise.

Well why not something similar to skype? It would take a lot of work, but really it could be as simple as sending 'Hello' to someone on my friends list that also has it installed.

The work that would take is not something I want to think about. Not even writing the app, so much as the network behind it. I suppose an IRC client would be doable though, which supports that kind of chatting, albeit in an less ideal fashion. Plus, for it to really shine, it would need to be run as a background service and an applet. I don't think we can gain that kind of control with NH2.0. It would be doable for CFWs though...

Forgot about that. IRC. Yeah the background thing would be useful but without it it would still be pretty cool I guess.

The fact that ironfall 3ds game is free on shop is great as you don't need to pay for it, yay for free games :)
through NNID was a bit to make, but it's good :)

the game was out on eshop since 26/02, i wonder why ninten hasn't pulled it yet even after the game getting all this attention for ironhax usage?
also PKNRW isn't the has game? lol well at least i got it on my old ads before (maybe) it got pulled, but it turned out that PKNRW wasn't the hax game. :(

also anyone remember the hype threads for hinjhax 2.0 before it got released?
same like for ironhax, hype and lots of threads until the has is released then no more threads on such.

Changing my 3DS SD this one is (almost) broken, luckily I found it out before all was gone. Got a Micro SDHC of 32 GB + adapter, so I can change it, my current one has some bad blocks :)
EDIT: No bad blocks forgot it was a 8 GB SDHC :(

What model 3DS are you using? Original? XL? 2DS? New? What's it's firmware? You can find out by tapping the System Settings app.

You gotta answer those questions before we can provide you with any more info because your model and firmware will determine if you can do the exploit.

Original 3DS XL (Not New Or 2DS) Version 9.9.0-26E All Questions Asked?
