Oh true, I believe they are 2 different *hax
That's what I'm hoping for. But the question i've had all day is this: how would ironhax be possible without the assistance of oot or cubic ninja? Will we end up exploiting the back-up save data of ironfall? These are some of the things that lead me to believe cn or oot will be a prerequisite - although I sincerely hope they won't be. These titles not being a prerequisite really falls in line with smea's statements about wanting to deflate the price of CN and making homebrew more accessible on the 3DS.

You will need CN for the FIRST time setting up the *hax, later you will continue to use ironfall to execute it w/ out needing CN

This I fully understand. But due to some of the articles around the web and the relative vagueness of smea's more recent tweets, I began to question if we would in fact be needing CN at all. Honestly, it's just more wishful thinking on my part lol.

If that is the case then it would be incredible from his part, imagine how many people would be able to implement this and be happy that they wont need CN

Smea called it freehax because at that fine he hadn't revealed the game title yet. Calling ironhax everyone would know the game title before the announcement
Makes sense

==edit==

Either way we are all just assuming, like we all thought it was pokemon rumble and it turned out to be something completely different.

Would be cool, yet kind of a shame for the poeple who bought CN.
True, I had actually bought CN about 3 months before I actually bought my n3ds, thankfully for only $14

You still need it. Once.
Yes, but its hopeful thinking on there not being able to need it at all.

Not really though. This freehax maybe patched or pulled down in "near" future. While CN may not be patched even with future firmware update.

But, if the CN price goes down, I won't complain.B-)

We'll later see tivu100 owning all CN and reselling on ebay B-)

Lucky sons of...

I recently bought Ninjahax off ebay for like $56, and this is like a day before I learned of Sky3ds. Now my physical CN is in the drawer never to be used again... ._.

When worked half price books I bought 3 for $9
That korra is creepy, lol

ouch, try to resell it on ebay, at least make some extra money if you no longer need it. or rent it out to friends for 5$ so they can configure ironhax

:mthr: It's like you bought a N3DS for $9: 1 CN = $50 today ( at least with scalpers)=> 3CN = $150. Couple days ago, there was a seller on Newegg that sells N3DS for $150. That's not counting your luck of getting an exploitable N3DS that Ebay sellers ask for around $250+ (and sounds like your luck is great).

It's not that bad though. Like I said in one of my previous posts, you may have use of CN in the future when a firmware update comes and newer exploit which most of the time not freehax to begin with.

$56 for CN though... I bet I won't never get to see a CN in real life with my budget.

My lucks not all that great. We had four copies of the game at my store, I just happened to be working the day Smea released the name of sploit game! I went and pulled 3 copies and when i got off and bought them. They were six bucks a piece and I had %50 employee discount! No one ever thinks to check places like that, I mean the fourth copy set in our store another 3 months.

I sold one for like $15 after the initial surge, gave one to a friend, and kept the third. even though i could made a lot of money i didn't want gauge the prices.

You're the man. :yay: Can we be friend? So that you can pass me your CN copy <insert devil's laugh> (punt intended)
Scalping is bad! (scalping =/= reselling for a reasonable margin, just to be clear)
