if you have a ds lite, even if you owned the real games you couldn't link with other gba games..

the ds doesn't have link cable or a way to use multiplayer on gba games...
and there is not a flashcart that has the port in itself.. (that would be probably technically impossible)

but after better reading, i dont know what you mean exactly.. what type of "link" ?

however if you mean you want a cart that has a usb port to put the games on the card, probably the best would be still get a ez flash iv.. it doens't got a pc cable, but you can load a micro sd with every single game for gba and launch them without need a pc again...

as i said, you can't link gba games with a ds lite..
and i can remember some cards having linkers (to connect to pc so you could write the games) but they are ancient, don't have much space for games (you could write 1 or 2) and they are ancient that you need a old xp computer, some even need a parallel port... which only old computers got...
but seriously, thoose linkers are old and useless by now... you can easily get a ez iv, shove a micro sd card with every rom and game you want and done..
you may as well remove the micro sd card and copy the saves back to pc...

but no card allows you to multiplayer on a ds lite.. and there is no such thing as a port on the cart to connect to another gba for multiplayer...

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

I dont think you understand.... A LINK PORT IN THE CARTRIDGE TO LINK TO OTHER GBAS FROM THE CARTRIDGE
That is not technically possible, that is the reason for my answer.
The link port is not connected to the cartridge data lines, you are asking for a car stereo that makes your engine run faster.
Therefore, I quote the best answer ever: (as in it will actually work)
The GBA SP is the flashcard you are looking for.
It works very well with the EZ Flash IV game system.

i don't think you understand... THATS NOT TECNICALLY POSSIBLE, WE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU WANT, YOU NEED TO LISTEN, YELLING WILL NOT HELP YOU

it probably would require a whole re-design of the console to do that the console is designed for output link data to the link port in the flashcart, how exactly would a console redirect that link to the flascart? that would either need a console re-design or heavy rom patching, and even if you patched it, i am not sure if the processor would allow it, computer to computer communications are usually sensitive..
even emulators can't propertly emulate link, if you think you understand more about how stuff works please send me a pm and teach me, because i could use some electronic\programming\hardware lessons

The link port is not connected to the cartridge data lines, you are asking for a car stereo that makes your engine run faster.
more like he is asking the fuel tank to play music from the car radio (or stereo)

Yeah, that is not happening. You will need a GBA. No ifs, ands, or buts. You cannot work around that at all. DS and DS Lites do not have a link cable port, and there is no accessories that can change that, nor has one been made.
