@tivu100 If you're looking for 2 n3ds units I region change jpn units to usa. I can help you pick them out and region change them for a slight fee, pm me if interested

hi, I bought a japanese n3ds on amazon. Is there a high chance that it will come with something <9.2? If it is indeed 9.2 or lower would you be able to help me convert it to usa?
Thanks

I have ordered a ton of jpn n3ds units from amazon. I have only really had luck with select special additions.

For now, my friend lends me his CN copy. I am looking for a copy myself.

That's why I am looking for 9.2 N3DS because RXTools&PastaCFW looking to add N3DS support without the need of CN. In the future, if my nephews need to get over 9.5 to play newer games (hypothetically), they only need homebrew, which ninjhax 2.0's hyped to be capable. Perhaps at that time too, ninjhax 2.0 won't need the physical copy of CN. Because I don't support the piracy thing, I am not too concerned about firm-launch and signature patched stuff, which are harder to employ on newer firmware.

There already is a free cfw for n3ds. It still requires cn but once they creat mset then you will only need it once.

I think you may have a small misconception about the future of rxtools on the new 3ds. I be willing to put money on you will always need cubic ninja; you just only are going to need it just to setup mset

If that's the case, I can borrow my friend CN copy to set up (I am borrowing right now, while also looking to buy one. However can't because the ridiculous price).

Omg should I cancel the order and buy one at play-asia or its pretty much the same boat?

Yeah just wait a few days / weeks and mset for cfw on n3ds should be out and you will just need cn to setup mset

If you order from amazon just make sure it's fulfilled through amazon in the country you're from. This way it's a free return if it above 9.2

Just looked through two Best Buys today as well as a Target with no luck; 1050s and 4030s were the lowest I found. I'm going to have to try some other stores.

Must be something about my area. Found one black and one red at a target and one black at best buy with 9.0 numbers an hour away from my town. Did not pull the trigger on them though. Toys r us had the systems positioned where you couldn't see the numbers, so not sure if they were good or not.

The black one at target was the last one in a row of black systems, but the red one was in front. Couldn't see the numbers on any of the other red systems.

What part of the country are you in? I use to able to find them in so cal but now most places are sold out, last place I saw them was south central in the HOOD

In my area, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Toysrus ... most of the time sold out. I never saw more than 5 on the shelves every time I check. Only Fry's which 2-3 cities away has better stock. Still never saw <=9.2.

Yeah, I'll be checking some Walmarts next. If they don't have them, though, I won't have too many more options.

Well, the two black systems at walmart were not 9.0 systems. I did get one of the red, though. Makes sense right, the black is the more popular of the two.

That's good news, because I like Red better. However, I don't know if I'll be fortunate enough to find one at the Walmarts around here, but I haven't had time to look yet.

Quick update on my Play-Asia order, it arrived yesterday on 9.0.0-20E!:
