Hacking NEW 3DS : Emunand and 3D problems

Hi there,

Bought a new 3DS recently (9.2 fw) and successfully applied the Gateway exploit (using Cubic Ninja). Created my Emunand partition and started it up (GW-9.2) and saw that the 3D was messed up. It works fine when I first launch my new 3DS though... Any idea's?

I am currently updating my emunand to 9.8 so let's see how that goes ...

You can only update emunand to 9.5 and just close the lid and open it to fix the 3d effect

It will go to a black screen, so you'll need to make your emuNAND again.

Don't know how to upgrade emuNAND to 9.5 on new3DS tho.

You are correct, Dartz. Ninty changed the encryption of FIRM of N3DS, in 9.5, and 9.6.
So GW only supports Emunand to 9.4, no higher one supported now from GW.

I do really wonder how you get it to be 9.5.. Ronhero. If you could leave a tutorial link for the OP that's quite appreciated.

Download the cia files from 3dnus for 9.5.0-23 and USA/EUR/JPN and then install on emunand with BBM

Include the NATIVE_FIRM (0004013800000002) or not? If partially update is available and stable..

The launcher.dat has native firm 9.5 built in

Awesome! Thanks Dartz and Ronhero for the help! Sincerely appreciated, indeed : the closing/opening lid works (not sure if there's a permanent fix for this?) and yes, I can confirm that updating to 9.8 doesn't work
But oh well, 9.x is fine for now

Quick question if I have zelda with gw save and create gw emunand without having a gateway card should I be able to boot emunand in classic mode? Fw 9.0 even thought I can't use cias or pasta etc trying to avoid flashcards cost
