Hacking Official [Release] CakesFW

I tried it on my 2DS, but I get get an error message and reboot, when I launch the DS Profile Settings.
I downgraded my sysnands (9.2) mset to 6.0.x and then launched the CakesROP.nds with my flashcard and 6.x ropCustom.txt (rxTools.dat). Both writing and veryfiying was successfuly. I didn't tried mset 4 yet because of the risk of bricking with 2DS devices.

rxTools doesn't support mset 6.x version of CakeHax yet. You can update and compile yourself though. Make sure the CakeHax submodule is updated to HEAD.

Edit: Now I tried mset 6.x with the default Cakes.dat, but I get the same error message and system reboot.

Somebody told me that if I use CakeFW that my Omega Ruby save (that was saved on a regular, non CFW 9.8 3DS) would become playable in emuNAND & sysNAND. Are they correct?

I tried latest compiled Cakes and worked with MSET 6.x on my 2DS so no more fear to bricks when formatting

btw, @b1l1s, I also compiled the latest code.bin from CakesROPSpider but it doesn't seem to work with http://dukesrg.no-ip.org/3ds/rop/?LoadCode.dat (the screen flashes briefly and I go back to Home, but if I launch the DS profile, nothing happens). Could you confirm that it is working?

What firm version are you on? I have tried it in a firmception environment only, 4.x and 9.0.

I don't know neither. however it seems to require other work. You may find an answer from @Apache Thunder. CakeHax is done originally for CakesFW..

I don't think so. As b1l1s said above, rxTools needs to be updated to the latest CakeHax e087b6c.

Well you can do it if you want, shouldn't be too difficult to adapt classifiers to do code classification. It's just that there's not that many offsets vs firmware to begin with, and I'd rather not mess up my 3ds if anything goes horribly wrong.

Do i have the correct cia version?

The version looks ok to me. What are you using to install the ROP?

Thank you i used the CakesROP.nds in cakes uploaded by A600 and i chose mset 6xx in the menu

I also compiled spidertools tu use code.bin locally with my android phone but the code.bin provided first without the new offsets didn't work perhaps with the new offsets i will get more luck

The code.bin for 4xx and 9xx work with android

What happens when you click on the DS profile? Also, if you see nnid settings the mset didn't get downgraded properly.
*If you're upgrading you should now see brightness setting in mset.
