So I caved in! I went ahead and picked up another 3ds (sold my original XL about 1 year ago) and now I'm sort of regretting not just picking up a smaller normal 3ds for a fraction of the price. Essentially I bought the unit to play Xenoblade on the go, but I'm not sure if Nintendo even plans on making any more exclusives for this console. What do you all think? The new added features (c-stick, better 3d) are a definite plus but would that warrant an extra 50$ price difference? I know I sound very selfish but I hope Nintendo decides on releasing more *New Nintenso 3ds* exclusives that harness the full power of the console. Possibly another Wii port (the last story, crosses fingers). Imagine being able to enjoy games like Okami with the touch screen, or even tales of symphonia. (I own every single game mentioned on the consoles). It would be super sweet to be able to enjoy these games while I'm on a lunch break at home, waiting for a checkup, or even over a friends house. What do you all think? How does everyone feel about this? PS - Nintendo where the fack is my next Castlevania title? That is um... A role playing metroidvania.

I'm sure they will eventually, its bound to happen to use the N3DSXL's more CPU power but remember they don't want to forget about the old 3DSXL that's there biggest seller so forgetting about that could be very costly to Nintendo and upset some still hungry customers! Don't worry I'm sure some crackers will come its way soon! But tbh don't know why you went buying one just on the back of Xenoblades cause lets face it that was a bit crap anyway. I bought one on the back of my gateway card working on it, nothing more but the way things are going on getting 9.8x emunand working on it, its looking a bit of a waste of money for me! arghh the gatewait is killing me off!!!

You'll have Binding of Isaac Rebirth on the New 3DS at the end of the month (no date for Europeans), but outside of that, no other titles confirmed for the moment. Oh, and Castlevania comes from Konami, who decided to give up on the video games market to focus on the mobile.

I really don't see an incentive for devs to make N3DS exclusive games. By doing so, they'd lose the entire 3DS user base.

At least with the DSi games, they weren't exclusive. Rather, they had additional content for those with the upgraded system.

Yeah I agree totally, the exclusives will most probably be Ninti specials all the way! don't expect third party games to be made.

For me, the stable 3d ending up being worth the upgrade alone - the exclusive games are just a bonus.

Same here. It would be a slap in the face if developers released highly anticipated games exclusively for the New 3DS and turn their backs on existing 3DS owners. As for whether the $50 price tag justifies well for enhanced 3D technology and C-stick capabilities, I'd say that was a great move.

I understand how all of you feel, but just imagine the shear amount of games they can release. If they are able to port one of the Wii's largest game to the portable, I bet they can move others like twilight princess. Overall I'm pretty bummed, but it's only fair considering we all spent 200$ somewhere down the line.

They should make Wii & GC ports, remasters & HD versions and release them as "only" on N3DS exclusives.....that way they won't alienate the already sturdy 3DS mass

I WANT HD PIKMIN 3DS!!!

The N3DS is going to be just like the DSi in that there will be very little noteworthy exclusive content to speak of. At least the N3DS is a little better off than the DSi that only really had DSiware, but regardless, Nintendo's E3 announcements make it pretty clear that the 3DS is as much on the way out as the Wii U. Really, the 3DS more so. It hasn't sold nearly as well as the DS did, so there's no reason for it to stick around an additional two or three years. Considering the 3DS will be five years old as of Spring 2016, I'd put my money on nothing exciting happening with the N3DS basically ever.

Only you see it that way.
Oh yes, let us see what E3 brought for the 3DS:
- Online based simple "Metroid" title
- Online based simple Zelda title
- Paper Mario x Mario Bros crossover

Of those three things, only the Mario game shows any signs of being anything more than the 3DS equivalent of a Wii U budget title. It is exceptionally clear that they aren't focusing nearly as many resources into the 3DS at this point, and even if third party support was actually good on the 3DS (hint, it really isn't), that wouldn't change the fact that the 3DS is definitely on the way out.

Even then, consider the success of the DS. It sold nearly three times what the 3DS has at this point, and Nintendo still only let it live for around six years before they dropped it and released the 3DS. If you consider the fact that the Phat model was pretty unsuccessful and that the DS didn't hit its stride until the relaunch with the DSlite in Spring 2006, the lifespan of the DS is more like five years. If Nintendo was ready to kill the most successful handheld of all time after only five years with a model out that anybody wanted, why would they let the 3DS that is currently the worst selling Nintendo handheld family (not counting the infamous Virtual Boy) keep going longer?

It isn't hard to see that the 3DS doesn't have a lot of life left in it. The N3DS isn't some new lease on life for the system line either. It was just a way to temporarily boost system sales.

Don't worry yourself about him m8, its a PSVita rimjob rob! the 3DS is going no where fast! nor the WiiU for that matter ;)
I honestly can't tell if you're delusional or just incredibly unintelligent.

I think the better 3D alone makes it worth it. It's a much more enjoyable experience when I can sit or lay back in a relaxed position.
