Errrm... I use the CIA Converter from the Gateway Support Forum somewhere on MaxConsole, and that gives you two options when generating the ncchinfo.bin - one for 4.x firmwares and one for higher. Could it be you're using an ncchinfo.bin made for a 4.x firmware on a higher system?

Well just use Decrypt9 then instead if you can, roxas really needs to remove/separate that from that part into its own thing.
The other alternative is, directly decrypt the rom itself with the decrypt CTR titles (or whatever its called) option.

i've downloaded decryptor9 and it's just more tools to generate ncchinfo.bin and such . how does this let me skip the SDinfo.bin part of rxToolss XORpad generation ? sorry for dumb questions im new to this whole rxTools thing

You use the first one for games, the other one is for theme files (won't get into that at the moment).

You shouldn't be getting either of those errors if you're using Decrypt9 with the generated ncchinfo.bin. Sounds like you're trying to use the generated ncchinfo.bin with rxTools, which won't work (as far as i know).

are you sure your using legit retail .3ds roms? and not a modded one?

just now I generated a xorpads of Zelda OOT using rxtools 2.6 and even though the "Could not open SDinfo.bin error" appeared, I still got my xorpads on my sd card

I belive sdinfo.bin is not need for xorpad generation of .3ds roms
