why should normal users be interesting to try this exploit? since this one it is just to show how it breaks the wii U? I mean only hackers and programmers who can debug code can find this useful, I already keep my wii U on lower firmware but I still don't understand why many people want to crash their wii U?, you already know your wii U is on 5.3.2 and thats all you can do by now, besides that, we still not sure if we will get something relevant trough this weeks, can be months, even a couple of years.

I'm wondering if this will ever eventually lead to the tablet controller working in vwii mode?

Or will it be possible to play wii games and gc games in the wiiu mode?

Obviously I would love to rip my wiiu discs to hdd but my game breaker is tablet control over backwards compatibility as opposed to having to use a wii remote+controller+tablet.

If these things are impossible then I'm probably updating as piracy of wiiu games is of no interest and vwii does everything I love already (apart from tabet control ofc)

Any thoughts/insights would be great from coders

Garbled image in 5.3.2, but you already know that, right
Yes right. Anyone on these firmwares should test it because it uses the 5.3.2 Webkit Exploit and if he get the same result that the 5.3.2 Users get then it's the webkit Exploit!

Yep. Use http://wj44.bplaced.net/
Works every time for me.

Maybe it's nice to port the stable code over to wiiulib?

Now THAT'S something I want to see! A little "try it yourself" thing to keep the crowd calm and give them something to play around with.
Awesome! Can't wait for the first things to arrive for "just normal Wii U users" or better said somewhat Wii U-Knowing guys.

I can't wait for a PS1 emulator on the Wii U, with the Wii U Pro Controller, and a far better upgrade from WiiSX, where at least 90% or 95% of the games are actually playable at 100%, Someday, it will come, i know.

Personally I think ps1 games aged really badly, snes and megadrive games have a timeless quality as do ps2/gc

It's amusing how you have the profile pic of Sephiroth, a character that first appeared on a PS1 game, besides:
- Megaman X Series
- Castlevania
- Almost every 2d japanese game
- Crash Bandicoot
- Spyro the Dragon
- Rayman 2
- Nightmare Creatures

And i can say a shit ton more, in term of games, the quality of the PS1 it's really high, as fotonic said "Enough to justify an emulator" especially because the Wii U is easier to hack than the PS4 and Xbox One, and more powerful than a PS3 and the Xbox 360, you have more chances to see something like this on the console ;)

I'm not 100% sure about this but if you follow this guide properly I think you can still play your games online and still be on 5.3.2:- https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-blocking-wiiu-update-domains-with-opendns.385996/

Edit: sorry scrap that I don''t think you can reading into it but still you should do the guide anyway, it may help you.

yes thanks but i did this a month ago, splatoon needs an update to be played and i can't update it without updating my wii u so i guess i can't play until we can update without risks
i mean, just the online mode

Hey NWPlayer, you have a new fan- here's a video of Etika talking about your splatoon hack.

That was rather cool to watch! atNWPlayer123, bolting its load all over the old man and the tree, was that meant to be in there as a bit of a joke from you? Really top stuff from you man, big ups! :)

Gaiiiss
Has anyone tried new Yoshis Wooly World, does it ask to update to 5.4.0 ? Im planning to buy it tommorow but Im scared that it needs the update.

You can just define a network connection that doesn't connect you to the internet and you should be good to go! ;)
