Game runs perfectly on PPSSPP and even looks surprisingly great on my 50" screen.

Wouldn't say it looks GREAT but it looks pretty good, it is an old game after all.

"Update: We are aware that there are bugs in the patch when playing on a PSP. We have figured out the cause and a likely solution to the problem, and should have an updated version of the patch out in a day or two. In the mean time, the game plays perfectly well on PPSSPP."

Since it seems the Problem may have been found... could you tell us what the problem was if it isn't too complicated to understand/explain?

There is no problem in the emulator. We will fix it for the PSP. No worries. Wait 1-2 more days please.

The problem was wrongly rewritten headers of the corresponding text files which PPSSPP has no problem with but a real PSP does.

#Typo?
Airdramon : When paying him for a special hunt it says 'You earned 3000bits'
Sunflowmon : The message that notifies you that sunflowmon goes to the city says 'sunflowermon'

EDIT : Searched a little and it's Sunflowermon in all the texts, instead of Sunflowmon

*Shakes his head in shame* :ohnoes:
The first one is particularly bad and was fixed ages ago. I don't know how it got undone.
When a project is that big, it's really hard to keep track. I can only assure you the things you mentioned will be fixed and expect them to be fixed in 1.1.
Sorry, I hope it didn't ruin your game experience. No matter how hard you try, it's hard to make it perfect :/

personally i completely forgot it was a fan translation when i was playing it earlier.
yes you might have a few errors, even professional translations have those. i wouldn't worry so much about it really.
I'm glad to hear that, it's just annoying and frustrating to fail meeting your own expectations. I guess the Update Button really made some of us a little careless, thinking "if there are issues we can also pull out an update" but to be honest, I really hoped we'd use it only as a sort of a last resort thing.
All I can say is that I promise everything people mentioned will be fixed. In the meantime, if you find any more issues please feel free to report them. Either here, on the blog, [email protected] or [email protected]

No worries..if it's your team will fix the psp, then i'll really glad to wait..it wont hurt much, cause we already waiting this game for so long..it'd be pretty amazing if you can fix the psp...but without fixing it too, you and your team already done a big nice marvelous job to do this project 100%...

kinda weird that they didn't expect people to play it on the actual hardware.
We did, this particular thing got sneaked in by a tool, we tested it on a real PSP before and never experienced any issues.
Every single crash is the result of one bug.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

My particular issue is I don't own an PSP anymore. Last time I had I tested it extensively, I had no reason to believe anything would've changed in the meantime.

a bit yeah, but i suppose its easier to test it on emulator while you're working on it. the dub version works fine (for me anyway on phat psp) and they're fixing it some time in the future, so it's not the end of the world.
Even in the first 2 minutes I ever spent in the DS Homebrew scene the first rule was "Always test your homebrews on the Hardware first".

Ah okay that's understandable.

How is reporting a bug and criticizing the beta test ungrateful? wtf man.
I'm not trying to shit on them for overlooking a bug I just want them to do better next time.
