Hello
Here's my compilation mod for the Snes9xGx emu, credit goes for the original creators of these mods, the only thing that I did was combine them, an add a few extras, enjoy.

Snes9xGx Emu Updates:

Version 4.3.6 - September 12, 2016

* Added the delete save file (SRAM / Snapshot) option
* Changed the box colors for the SRAM and Snapshots files to match the color scheme of the emu GUI
* Change the "Power off Wii" exit option to completely turn off the wii, ignoring the WC24 settings
* Updated emulator credits
* Updated settings file name in order to have it's own settings file
* Added an option to switch between screenshots, covers, or artworks images,
with their respectively named folders inside /snes9xgx at the device's root.
You can set which one to show, by going to Settings > Menu > Preview Image.
The .PNG image file needs to have the same name as the ROM (e.g.: Contra III.png)

Boot File

Source File

Version 4.3.5 - Feb 2016
* Added Fix94 wiiflow plugin mode (Askot)
* Removed sound from GUI, for better perfomance/FPS on games like Yoshi's Island and Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Askot)
* SuperFX overclock in Video Options, for a bit of speed in some games (Askot)
* Show Framerate option in Video Settings for FPS info (Askot)
* Remove Turbo Mode wii on right stick (Askot)

Boot File

Version 4.3.4 - Feb 2016
- Fixed screenshot image dimensions, now it can display screenshot and game cover within the background border.
- Fixed screenshot function, it no longer creates a "dummy" file on folder.
- Fixed performance issues, reverted to previous vsync method, thank to Burnt Lasagna for finding this error.
- Removed automatic download of newer versions by Burnt Lasagna.
- Compiled with devkitPPC r26, if source is compiled with devkitPPC r27 some games, like Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger would crash, thanks to Sindrik for finding this information.
- Updated version within emu to 4.3.4

Snes9xGX Boot File

Snes9xGX Source File

Version 4.3.3 - Sep 2015
- Added Cebolleto's preview image support.
- Added WiiUPro controller support.
- Added a Scanline filter option (under the video options, video mode must be set to progressive, filter is kinda buggy)
- Increase preview image size and reduce game list width.
- Added a background to the preview image.
- Added a Screenshot button (under the game settings options, the video scaling option must be set to default otherwise screenshot looks smaller and with black borders around it, also screenshot folder must already exist otherwise a folder error will popup).
- Added a "WiiuPro" button on the button mapping menu, the options is just for completeness, since the controller mappings are shared between the wiiupro and the classic controller.
- Fixed the inverted color button selection that was in some option windows in version 4.3.2.

There's any chance for Lottes_CRT shader/filter to be added at some point?

...that would be a awesome cherry on the cake! :)

I can send you the shader's files too if you need

FINALLY. Thank you for this, Zopenco. Is libsickaxis support a possibility for a next update?

By the way, you could name your version 4.3.3 unofficial, or something. I don't think it's gonna be a problem, and it really is a welcome addition to the official source.

Great timing. I was only looking for a SNES emulator that supports a scanline filter yesterday! Thanks for this.

Would the scanline filter code port to any other emulators?

I would like this to run BS-X - The Town Whos Name Was Stolen. Here is a link .... http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1791/ and http://bsxproj.superfamicom.org/faq.htm explains it more. This can be used with snes9x-sx2 which simulates the Satellaview Online or you will get an error saying not available. The file snes9x-sx2 0.2 has the latest update for this. This is actually a bios for the Satellaview add-on for Super Famicom. It seems snes9x-sx2 0.2 is she same as snes9x but with this added feature.

If you run BS-X - The Town Whos Name Was Stolen, it will load but will get an error after you put your name in saying Satellaview Online is not available when snes9x-sx2 0.2 simulates this.

Also Zopenko, I noticed with your mod, I found 2 games I have tested, maybe more that don't load....Andre Agassi Tennis and Alfred Chicken....both crash and go back to loader screen. Also B.O.B. has some graphic errors at top of screen. These 3 games run perfect with the olv version Tantric made which was r721.

Basically the only thing that i did was merge all of the files that i found on the web for these emulators, if the shader and the libsixaxis already available for these emulators, i could add them; you could send me the files and ill see what i can do, but it will be after i add these same modifications to the other 2 GX emus.

this might have something to do with the wiiupro patch, i remember seeing a similar problem with final fantasy III and chrono trigger games,
there's a emu file with the wiiupro patch only, if you could test those games with that emu version, and comment what are you're findings :)

Zopenko, I am running this emulator on the Wii....not Wii U so im not using the Wii U Pro controller. I can test some more games for on the the Wii but may be becuase of the wiiupro patch you mentioned. Could you also base this emulator off of snes9x-sx2 0.2 as well. Its snes9x v1.53 but has Satellaview sumulation as well. If you want, I can send you the file so you can look at it. Thanks again

Keep in mind, you can't just "plug" the code of any emulator and expect it to work, many optimizations and work have to be done in order for it to even compile.

So, there are some regressions? I'll test it on the Wii

I expect to see some day a CHT editor in the main snes9x gx, that for any change you have to put the SD in PC, edit and insert all in the Wii again.
Another thing, I prefer use snes9x gx 4.2.5 because with CRT in Pal Wiis and original resolution, it doesn't make sound clicks

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
