and the foxes have invaded this thread.

I guess foxes like GBA games :P . Can't say I blame them, some great titles for that system. Too bad they dropped the "GameBoy" moniker though. Even to this day I still occasionally catch myself about ready to refer to my 3DS as a GameBoy, lol. But at least there are great emulators like VBA to help with the nostalgia ^^

My parents used to (and maybe still do) refer to the DS as a Gameboy.

If it helps I used to have an original Action Replay DS back then.

I STILL have mine, along with my old GameSharkSP and the GBA itself, gathering dust on a shelf 5 feet behind me. I still use them once in a while, to make sure they're still working :P . Too bad support never continued for the DS savegame features on the AR though. I have my DSTWO and another way to read and write saves with my PC now, but just popping it into a GBA would have been a hell of a lot easier.

Taking a look at this new version of VBA though, I am kind of surprised to see Netplay functionality with it for multiplayer. As far as I knew it's really not supported anymore.

I still have the black GBA SP that was given to me after my family lost the blue/red GBA SPs lol. We lose things constantly.

"Keeping track of things is hard." -my family  You just organized the entire inside of the entertainment center? Better shove it up my ass then when you try to find it take it out and say "hur dur try harder next time it was only in a box in a closet on the other side of the world in another box in a closet within a closet behind the TV!"
I'm a neat freak so I hate it when something is disorganized. You wouldn't believe how much of a clusterfuck the entertainment center was before I organized it. This should be a saying lol: "Work can take hours, but undoing it can take less than seconds."
/rant end

But oh well, who cares? it was only like what? 80-200$ back then lol. I think the other one was dropped in the water on a beach by some dumb neighbor we knew.

I also used to have a Wii back then. But after we moved it eventually stopped reading discs, and then we got a Wii U. (I teared up a little when it died; So many memories with it. ~i crei evrytiem~ Probably could have just cleaned the lens to fix it.)
At least now I know about softmods etc and all the implications of that ;) If only I knew about console softmods back then. Fat PS2 softmods are stupidly easy. Yes, I also used to have a PS2. I don't remember what happened to it, though. But I got a slim for christmas in like 2011. Eventually it stopped reading discs and I had to replace the laser. Before I replaced the laser I was given a newer model PS2 slim that I begged for then fixed. (Yes, I beg for things on Facebook lol. Probably the only thing it's useful for. People are really nice.) But since newer models are unmoddable it's useless to me. (I might just sell it or something. I'm not sure yet.)

Cool, had no idea this was still active. I had old r1229 from v1.8.0 installed on here for when I'd need to check something out. I can only guess how much changed since then.

What are you TASing?
Tool-assisted speedrun

playing by abusing savestate and automated button commands to achieve specific goal : complete game in 1 live, complete game faster than normal abusing specific glitch, Takes damage to save time, dont/use warps, etc.
There are website where you can post your recorded video and tell what you wanted to achieve. (100%, faster run, no hit, etc.)

http://tasvideos.org/
http://tasvideos.org/Movies-SNES.html (Snes section has a lot of videos)

look at multiple games played at the same time with a single controller
megaman X1-2-3

There are also users who do speedrun without TAS, just by knowing the game and re-playing it a lot of times.

I think they meant which game is the user "TASing", which was answered. But either way that's probably one of the shortest but most descriptive and concise definitions I've seen :)
