Hi. A little problem here
Im using vbaGX 2.3.2 released here.
im trying to inject a pokemon emerald save from My Boy! (full for android) emulator.
Im using on both the same rom (zip and gba file), and the same .SAV file.
on the MyBoy! the save is fine. 4 badges, 3rd evo for mudkip, skarmory, and im at the volcano stuff etc
when i take the SAV file, it loads me at a pokecenter, upper floor, 3 badges, mudkip 1st evo.
Help?

Any chance the .SAV file you're importing and the ROM don't share the same name on VBAGX? One thing that gets some users is that most of the time on emulators the save file name has to match the name of the ROM file. Perhaps you missed deleting an old .SAV file and the new one got renamed by your OS?

I don't quite get it. The save and the ROM share the same name. I'll try in the evening deleting the save (I have quick saves) and recreating it. And saving with the huge progress in the same spot (Mauville, poke center 2nd floor.)

Oh, you're talking about sharing savestates? If that's the case you're better off just sharing just the .SAV file, as converting savestates between emulators is somewhere between difficult to impossible. When you use a savestate (such as MyBoy's quicksaves), it doesn't overwrite the .SAV file for the game, it makes a savestate file specifically for that emulator. Try saving the game with your in-game menus and then bring your save over to VBAGX.

Then I'm a little lost. What do you mean by using quick saves? Unless that's some kind of super-hacked version of Emerald I can only recall one method of saving the game without savestates.

No. I will try to delete the sav file, go into the game thru savestates, and create a new sav file from there.

How do you save state and load state? It never works and always starts the game at the menu.

For which emulator? They're all mostly the same when it comes to that, but every emulator has it's own twist on the menu screens. If you're having dire trouble getting any savestates to work, I would suggest simply using the normal in-game method to save, but savestates should be able to be used in almost all cases.

If ya talking about MyBoy for Android.... There are these 3 horizontal lines in a square. And the select save or load. Wii emus... I havehave no idea think you press home and there should be save and load. Haven't played the Wii in a month tho...

Im talking about the vbgagx on the wii. It always restarts the game at the menu when I load state
