Hi. This is a Tutorial on How to get saves from 1 emu to other. Saves, not savestates! (this can apply for every emulator (maybe))
What will you need:
1.A save file (Only .SAV file format)
2.Emulators
3.reading skills
Process:
I will be taking the process from My Boy! For android to vbgaGX for Wii (this can work from wii to wii, android to android, etc etc)
1. Locate the Rom AND the .SAV file
2. copy them to SD (vbagx users - rom goes in vbagx>roms, save goto - vbagx>saves)
3.Launch the game, load the save.
Errors, corrupts, etc.
If the save has progress from older dates/corrupts:
1.Save the game in a SAVESTATE
2.Delete the .SAV file
3.Load the savestate
4.Save normally INGAME(which results in a new .SAV file to be created)
Ver2
1.Make sure that the game was used in the same format (if on my boy pokemon was runned from zip,
then it will be needed to run from a zip on vbagx too, not a .gba)
2.Try, if the error still persists, repeat the steps 1-4 from above
Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 from the Process listing
If the save refuses to load/doesnt appear:
1.Make sure that the save has the SAME name (not file format) as the rom, since they share the same name.
For expample - A pokemon emerald (trashman) (e).SAV file wont load on Pokemon emerald (U/J).gba
2. Test the save on the original/host device
