Dude chill, it was only 6 lines of code (two if the leaker actually knew how to code). And let's not forget ARM9 from ninjhax wouldn't have been possible if not for many others. The modifications have been out there for years because of yellows8's leak, it's just that nobody was smart enough to put two and two together and then on top of that put it in a spoon-fed form.

Would you like some chips with that salt?

So from what I understand this installs stuff directly to sysnand? Does that mean you can't update your 3DS past 9.2 or am I missing something?

Okay, forgive me if these are stupid questions, but I would like to know...

First off, I keep reading that I should use FBI to install either DevMenu, BigRedMenu, or BigBlueMenu. Why do I need to do that? If FBI installs .cia files, why can't I just use FBI instead?

Second, there are a handful of ways to convert a .3ds file into a .cia file. Would these work, or should I look for replacement .cia files for my games directly? Also, is there a way that I can transfer save files so I don't lose my progress?

Third, since we have ways to convert .3ds into .cia, is there a similar method to convert .nds into an installable DSiWare file? I told my little brother that I'd give him my old DS when I could find a way to run my games on my 3DS, and my flashcart is an old DS Lite version that I've been told most likely won't work even with the whitelist downgrade.

Correct. It installs directly to sysnand, you cannot update past 9.2 if you want these installed CIAs to work, and you have to boot into PastaCFW every time you play, otherwise they just flat out won't open.

I am kinda dumb with this stuff. Is there any way emuNAND support could ever be added? Don't get me wrong; being in the sysNAND is just fine in my opinion, but I really would love to be able to update to 9.4 without ruining everything.

you are not forgiven

you don't have to install devmen ,BBB,or BRM , it is just easier to do it so you can install CIA's from the home menu app than going to HB launcher every time to run FBI to install CIA's

yes there is, no do not bother attempting it, just get the pre converted CIA files

it's called savdatafiler google it

(actually it's 4th)

yeas probably there are or will be DS games injected into DSIware like there are NES games injected into NES VC

Can anybody help me source a Smash Bros CIA that actually works with PastaCFW (PM me)? This may be my 2DS, but any other game starts up fine. Smash Bros just boots up to a black "an error has occurred, turn the system off" screen. My firmware version is 9.0.0-20U, if that helps (in other words, a US model)

Your problem may not be the cia but a case of "size really does matter", hehe. Sounds like the sd card in your 3ds is too small. Seriously, that was a huge problem when the game first came out. Get a 4GB card and try running the game.

he is getting a black screen the game would not install period if there was not enough space, unless maybe it cant create a sav file because of lack of space?
also
"card is too small ,solution: get 4 GB card" WUT?

JP O3DS, System version 9.2.0-20.
I have no retail CN cartridge nor sky. I only have a GW. So I booted into SysNand and launched CN from GW red card. Then I scanned QR code and booted into Homebrew Launcher.
But when I launched Pasta CFW loader, the following text displayed on the screen:
Code:
* BRAHMA *
[+] Getting ARM11 kernel privileges
[!] 3DS model/firmware not yet supported

Press [B] to return to launcher
Anyone know how to fix it?

GW Sysnand is not supported at the moment. GW users without CN will need to wait for MSET version or spider or other alternative
