yeah, should.....idk, as i said i might of just messed something up, but idk i would be happy to be proven wrong :P.....hmmmm ok another idea *back to testing*

I confirmed with Normmatt that AGB_FIRM has signature checks that would need to be patched out. Also, I believe that 32MB should be the limit because isn't Fire Emblem Sacred Stones EUR 32MB?

I take it we can't use this using Gateway mode on SysNAND? I don't own CN, so I installed a CIA of it to the SysNAND, and then booted it with GW mode. After selecting the payload, and then executing it, I get an error saying "[!] ARM11 exploit failed".
I don't care for 3DS backups with the CFW, I just want to be able to play GBA games.

Use PBT CFW in conjunction with DevMenu. You can boot installed GBA titles from your sysnand by launching them through the DevMenu. Doesn't matter what region. If it's of your region it will show up in your home menu. If not you can boot them from the DevMenu.

But PBT custom firmware doesn't work on new.

good to see you here. So this would require patching the AGB_FIRM itself then? I wonder if it uses a different signature checking method from the 3DS, or it it's the same

Yeah, and if AGB_FIRM were patched, I'd assume that'd make injecting easier possible. I have no idea how the signature checking works, all I know is that it exists.

yeah i kinda came to the conclusion GB_FIRM has its own checks, just to rul out it crashing because of game differences i just changed 1 byte on the existing rom and fixed the hashes and it still gave me an error screen on launching......and yeah 32MB is the biggest GBA VC rom i guess.....what was the biggest size of a GBA game, couldn't of been much bigger than 32MB right.....oh well experiment over

EDIT: well pprently 32MB is the biggest size for GBA roms, so if the signature checks ever do get patched and compatibility is good it could potentially play any GBA game

How stable is it? Does it crash every 2 seconds like palantine?

Gateway and Sky are probably shitting their pants right now.

Edit: Thread read, question was answered.

don't forget the PC emulator that works as well as an Intel i7-5960X with 4 NVIDIA Titans and 32 gigs of ram.

and it uses the new thought technology it can play any game as long as you think about it it gets the data directly from your brain.
