1:1 and aspect appear to do the same thing. I expected aspect to scale a NTSC game by a factor of 8:7. (Full screen does work.)

Also, the .3ds version locks up the 3DS when I exit (using home), even though this executable has the reset and it sounds like you added the reset at the same time as the exit fix.

I have a disksys.rom in the root of the SD card. No FDS game I tried works.

Aspect is left over from it being a sort of generic libretro interface I put together. It scales up the frame until the height is equal to the screen height, which in this case it already is.

That's weird, it isn't locking up for me. I'll have to play around with it a bit more to see if I can reproduce the issue.

Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to load an FDS game? Going by the core's info, FDS games should work.

EDIT: Also, what firmware version are you on?

Pressing Home seems to work, but actually selecting Close after that causes the lockup. The screen does not go black, unlike the description of the other exit bug. My firmware is 4.2 SysNAND, 9.7 EmuNAND on an O3DS. Gateway version is 3.2.1.

Loading a fds game does what pdapanda described.

I also had the same problems with the crashing when closing the emulator as well as the FDS rom not loading too.

People mentions Retroarch and that it will handle emulation very smooth. I wouldn't even think about Retroarch until something is released. There have been soo many emulation projects last 10 years that never went anywhere. Retroarch is worth nothing on the 3ds so far. IF they release anything, then we can count their emulators. Until then: don't anticipate anything from them! :)

I agree, we've got to act independently from any kind of central authority, trusting a single entity to do all the work could lead us to a great deception and slow the process of bringing good emulation to the 3DS.

i was wondering , since you had such great success with this quick little project could you also try maybe using libretro to port nitrografx the same way ?

Doesn't install for me (Via cia). Yet, I can install Nestopia just fine on Gateway emunand.
I get an error (Sorry I didn't read it, stupid of me). It's just strange to me, to get an install error for a cia file, since all cia I've ever installed worked fine.
Am I the only one, or did I download/extract it with error?

Edit: This is on a N3DS if that makes any difference.

You're da man! Especially after all the good work you recently did on the GB(C) emu!

Edit : Tested a dozen of roms and all of them worked. Emulator is not fullspeed but seems close to it, so with a little speed boost, might become a pretty good emulator.

Installed fine on my N3DS (Emunand 9.5). Maybe try to download the zip archive again?

Tried to go to the cheat option with a game running (Super Mario Bros 3) and it made the emulator crash, then emunand crash (rebooted into sysnand), though it's not really important for now, but just wanted to report the problem if it can help.

If Final Fantasy have a bit of choppy audio, it mean it doesn't run at full speed as the speed is what cause the choppy audio, but it's probably close to fullspeed like most games :)
