ROM Hack a Crazy swaping system idea...

well the thing is that my frieeng got her Pokemon AS stolen, so I thought about getting an "legit digita copy" for her 3DS
It's an ALBTW special 3DS, never hacked and all updated
my idea is making an new emunand on my 3DS , formating it on system menu , install a AS legit cia , update emunand
Then make system transfer from her 3DS to this one , see if everything works alright, give a walk around eshop(?) and then make a system transfer again, this time for her original 3DS
would this work? :B

Just make sure that you don't tie the system to your eShop account after you do the first system transfer. If you tie it to anything, make sure it's hers

I've tried transferring legit CIA's, but it didn't work. I did have many legit CIA's installed though, so you might have better luck since you only have one.

As for setting the clock forwards, it won't work, since the 3DS contacts Nintendo servers to check if a transfer is possible.

You can't transffer legit CIA to another system.

I tried many ways and all failed (emunand to sysnand, install on sysnand 9.2, update console to 9.6 then system transffer to another 9.6 console (9.6 was latest fw when i did the tests)

You can do whatever you like on the system you installed the legit cia's, update to 9.7, wipe the games and redownload them, but you just can't transffer them, the funny part is, when you setup a new NNID on the old (source) 3DS after the system transffer, you can redownload the pre-installe games again on that different nnid, so it seems somehow they are tied to your console and somehow the dumped legit cia's are missing something to get them transffered correct to another system.

Just saying, to avoid you having spending /wasting hours and days of trying.

If you bought a console with pre-installed game and system transffer that, the pre-installed game gets transffered!

It can be done from the "legit" cias. How? Not sure, trickery perhaps.

Everything transferred from O3DS to N3DS (AS,Y, and New Leaf) regardless.

Also tried, doesn't work, even if you can redownload the games on your linked NNID in the prepared source 3DS, you can't redownload them once transffered to the target system. Your NNID is transffered an all your legit purchases, but nothing you can redownload of pre-installed games you setup.
