If you can help me figure out the exact commit which broke emuNAND stuff (basically, get the very last official build from stfour, before I started making edits, see if it works there, and begin using my builds one by one from Github, there aren't that many), I'll see if I can fix it, if it's apparent what the problem is.

For me it's as follows:

4.7.4 - Works. Boots on emunand and can play games.
4.7.6 - 4.7.91 - Haven't tested as I was working backwards on your releases.
4.7.92 - Works. Boots on emunand and can play games.
4.7.93 - 4.7.96 - Will not boot on emunand.

Let me know if you want me to test the builds from 4.7.6 - 4.7.91.

Cheers

How do you get postloader to actually see any nand other than your real one lepicane? In 4.7.4 and 4.6.1 all I see is 'change uneek nand' in config and use 'neek', neither of which shows emunand channels when I select channels filter from top drop down menu. Am I missing something? I have post loader in sd apps and emunand in usb/nands/pln2o.

Been a while since I did this. What I do know is that I installed postloader on the real and emu nand separately (app folder on SD card and postloader folder on USB HDD). In both cases when it asked me where to save the config file I went with USB HDD. In the emunand 'NEEK options' I also have the neek2obooter to start the System Menu. 'Change UNEEK NAND' doesn't work for me as I only have the one emunand.

I can start the emunand postloader either from the realnand postloader ('Neek' button on the bottom and then 'Start NEEK2O (direct access)', or I use the Neek2o switch channel in the real Wii System Menu. I haven't found a way of going from the emunand postloader to the realnand postloader, I just exit to the real Wii.

I seem to remember that every time I added games or channels to the emunand I had to refresh the cache to get them to show in postloader. Whether this was within postloader itself or the neek2o menu, I just can't remember. Sorry.

Not sure if any of the above is any help.

Thanks. Well, if this is correct, then I can only guess that libsicksaxis doesn't work with emuNANDs. I'll look through the code next time I'm updating postLoader to see how it detects emuNAND/neek mode, and probably just disable libsicksaxis while running under emuNAND. That'd be the easiest solution, but not the ideal one.

Edit: emuNAND/neek2o users, please try this build, I've attempted to skip using DS3 controllers when in emuNAND/neek2o mode.

I think I have narrowed the issue down somewhat as the last time I exited the 4.7.92 emunand postloader I left it in the 'Channels' view.

When testing your test postloader, it booted fine into the 'Channels' view, however once booted, if I change the view from 'Homebrews', 'Channels', 'GC Games' or 'Emulators' to the 'Wii games' view it crashes. Changing between the four views (apart from 'Wii games') works with no issues. I tried rebuilding the game cache in neek2o to see if it would resolve the issue with no success. It will also definitely crash if I try to boot into the 'Wii Games' view as explained in my previous posts. Therefore, it seems something about the 'Wii games' view doesn't like my emunand.

No issues on the real Wii or with version 4.7.92.

EDIT: Tested the original 4.7.96 and same behaviour (it boots into any other view apart from the 'Wii games').

Cheers

Daxtsu, thanks very much for taking time to look into this. My apologies for not being able to provide feedback right away, I will thoroughly test as soon as I return from out of town.

Edit: I found my original post from back in October.Originally I reported that I was having issues because of a bootmii change but later I confirmed that my issues were related to upgrading to 4.7.95. Some of the issues described in this post are similar to what lepicane is experiencing.

nintendont show's up in postloader 4.7.96 but the games will not show up in the list

Did you refresh the game cache?

and where i can found argsboot ????

It's not something you "find". It's contained in the Nintendont binary (boot.dol), as an indication to homebrews like postLoader and USB Loader GX that it supports booting in a special way. PostLoader will tell you if it can't boot your version of Nintendont for some reason (if it's older than 1.98 for example).

I'm having a hard time understanding your posts, but where do you keep your GC games at? If I recall, postLoader expects them to be on either sd:/games or usb:/games, and nowhere else, since that's where Devolution, Nintendont, and (I think) DIOS MIOS expect them to be.

I have tried putting the config file on both sd and usb. Tried different versions of postloader from sd and installed directly on usb pln2o nand and updating SNEEK folder all to no avail. In all cases postloader refuses to see my pln2o nand VC and Wiiware channels. It's really frustrating because I can see the channels in neek2o system menu and USB loader GX, but neither of those is good because of channel limit and inability to switch rev version.

I am beginning to think that I am missing some vital file or folder that has got deleted somehow, but I don't know what because the official documentation doesn't make any sense for trying to achieve my goal of on- demand postloader (rather than as a replacement of my real system menu).

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious. I'll list the folder setup on both my SD and USB if it's of any help. I am running neek2o-rev96 and use nswitch2.2 to switch between real and emunand (latest EU PAL version of Wii software on both). Emunand set to autostart postloader (in the neek2o settings). Postloader is not a channel on the real nand and I access it through the Homebrew channel, on the emunand it is a channel (installed the plforwarder.5.1.5.wad on the emunand). Also seem to remember that when asked during the postloader initial install where to put the config file, I chose USB in both real and emunand.

SD Card

'apps' folder contains the 'postloader' only folder (don't use the 'priibootergui') from the distro package.
Root of SD card has the standard files from the distro package.

USB

In the root of my USB I have the 'nands' folder and in it the 'nand1' folder (I know, very creative with the name).
Also in the root is 'ploader' folder and the contents are in the attached image. The 'config' folder is empty.

As I said, the above works for me.

Aha. Which files from the distro package need to be in root of SD card as a minimum? (bearing in mind I only want to use postloader as an on-demand solution and not auto-booting or replacing my real system menu?)

I include picture of distro from http://postloader.mooo.com/. There is neek2obooter.dol, neek2obooter.app and the priibootergui and wad folders, none of which I have on my SD or USB.

I have all of those files on my SD except the 'pribootergui' folder. Did you try the below from the distro package readmii.txt (sorry, can't remember if I did this, probably did):

EDIT: Just checked my emunand and I didn't do the below.

neek2obooter.app
-------------------------

As neek2o r96 do not support priiloader, you have to install neek2obooter.app to start games from real mode to neek2o. neek2obooter.app is available from full installation package 4.1.9.

Installation:
in (usb:/nands/pl_eu)/title/00000001/00000002/content/

1) rename your system menu .app to sysmenu.app
2) copy neek2obooter.app and rename it as system menu

example for 4.3 eu nand

rename 0000009b.app to sysmenu.app
rename neek2obooter.app to 0000009b.app

!!! DO THIS ONLY IN YOUR R96 (and possibily above) NEEK2O, DO NOT TRY IN REAL NAND !!!

This allow also to go back directly to real mode when you select return to menu in games.
neek2obooter.app can also boot directly to postloader when you run your neek2o nand. Just create /title/00000001/00000002/data/n2oboot.ini (also empy) to enable this feature.

I've fixed the postloader in my neek2o nand. Turns out that there was another menu accessible by pressing start on gamecube controller that gives option of rebuilding cache. I could kick myself. I thought there was only one config menu (accessible from bottom of screen via popup). I can see all the wiiware and vc so that's good. Starting them also seems to be a little faster as mario golf doesn't hang on classic controller screen for as long. Bad news is that the audio is still glitchy like it was when booting from usb loader gx emunand channels. I don't think postloader has any way to change ios?
