Awesome! Now back up a second and explain your process!

Entirely Yifanlu's doing.

<Wowfunhappy> At some point, could you post the program/command/etc that you did on the 2DS? Would like to be able to do this myself.
<yifanlu>it's all on my blog post
<yifanlu>there's no commands
<yifanlu>it's just me changing the requests coming in and replacing it with the request your 3ds sent to start a nnid session
<Wowfunhappy>ah, okay
<yifanlu>in theory you don't even need to do it from the 2ds
<yifanlu>all I have to do is request a device token from ivs and send it to you
<yifanlu>and you use that token with the ninja open session request

And while I know it's unlikely that we'll ever be able to make this work without ram patches, Yifanlu did confirm that Tomodochi life is what was preventing the legacy account from being created. Since Tomodochi-less EU systems exist, it would be nice to see what happens on them.

Just for the heck of it Spongefreak, have you tried the old NAND swap trick? I don't think it's ever been tried on a system without flipnote or Tomodochi preinstalled.

well if your referring to the AUS units they do have the 3D visual experience app pre-installed as a legit cia, so might have the same issue with that

I was told on Neogaf there were some EU systems that had neither the visual experience nor Tomodochi, is that not true?

oh it might be idk tbh, only n3DS consoles i have is AUS which came with 3D visual experience , and UK which had Tomodachi life (and Majoras mask as its a MM edition one)

I'll have some time tomorrow afternoon with my EU N3DS (non-Tomodachi) if someone will be able to walk me through what's needed from me.

Are you sure you don't have tomodachi tied to your console? Go into eshop and check your downloads by going to Account -> Redownloadable Software -> Your Downloads

yeah i guess some of the reports of not having it might be from users who replaced their SD card and just assume it was never there....or people who got a console that had been formatted and returned to the store (by 9.2 or lower FW hunters)

i guess it is possible that certain regions didnt have it included though.......anyone know if anything was bundled on the ambassador consoles?

Yeah, Visual Experience is probably going to end up causing the same problem. If you don't own anything valuable, you could try deleting your eShop account and seeing if visual experience re-appears in your download history, but it's almost certainly going to.

so do you know if these games are tied to the console before they ever access online?......theoretically couldnt you buy a brand new EU console, remove the ticket for tomodachi life/visual experience to prevent that title becoming console bound?

but even old 3ds all had visual experience preinstalled, correct? usa eur and jp?
the title was stubbed later on, but the preinstalled ticket is still there...

Uhhh, not for me.

When the 3DS was first released (I purchased it mine on launch day!), it had an OK Go video you could play, but the eShop didn't even exist then.

There's also Nintendo Video, but that's different (and not preinstalled).

but that OK Go preinstalled ticket is still in your ticket.db right? the video might have gone in an update, but you would still have the ticket, i'm pretty sure. (could be wrong!)

yeah it was nintendo video in the original consoles and afaik that was classed as a system app rather than a eshop app/game
