I typically leave my emuNAND in sleep mode and on a charger 24/7, so changing out CN is not that big of a deal to me. It boots up in about 8 seconds, so over the course of my lifetime giving an hour total of GW boot time via CN is really not that big of a deal. I would find it more bothersome and frustrating playing NDS games and forgetting that mset was uninstalled by doing so, and going through the process of re-installing it. CN is already installed, easily launchable, and never loses its luster like mset has the potential to.
It's just about choice really. People having more ways to boot the exploits is a good thing, especially for people who don't use DS games.

I agree that having to reinstall MSET is annoying, that's why I went out and bought a cheap DSi XL. Not everbody has that choice though, of course.

On page 25, there is a n3ds roploader nds file that will reinstall the exploit from the DSTwo, I tried it and it works. So you can use your dstwo than reinstall the exploit before leaving the dstwo.
I found it, thanks :)
I reformatted SysNAND today, how do I reinstall the exploit initially and everything? I heard that I shouldn't have mSD card in system when I do it? Can you walk me through this?
Also, how do I use and install the roploader?

You have to use either a msd card that has no emunand partition, or modify the emunand partition via hex editor by changing the first letter of Gateway to Fateway... Easier to just use a separate msd card. copy the required DevMenu to your gateway msd, and the Launcher and mset files to the msd in your n3ds. Second launch the entry exploit, either OoT or CN to get to the gw menu. Third use the second to last option on the gw menu to install the 4.5 system menu on the n3ds. Fourth boot into gw mode and use the dev menu to install the cia and your golden.

Yeah, I have my regular DS laying around still just for nostalgia, but nothing beats the XL screen. It is all about preference, and I see the benefit of mset, I just can't get over the caveat's that come with it. CN fits all my needs without any caveats (unless switching cards is one, but you have to do that anyway at some point or another)

Thank you so much!! :)

Eh I use my supercard to play my ds games and reinstall the exploit afterwords so its really no caveat now... If I had to reinstall the exploit the gateway way by swapping the msd cards it would be another story but the n3ds roploader from page 25 fixed that.

I love how the old 3DS users are/have been waiting for some good hacks for years now, and then N3DS users just get it HANDED to them after only a few months of being released.

You have to use them at least once. New update makes it so you don't have to use it every single time you want to launch GW
ooo awesome! but will it reset again once you turn off the N3DS like the normal 3DS when you boot gateway on the internet, then turn it off you have to reboot it through the net...?

If you follow the steps then it should boot by going into system settings like the Old 3DS boot method

No, the whole point is that you can boot the exploit through the System Settings->DS Profile rather than having to use an internet connection or CN/OoT cart every time.

If some of you guys could enlighten me, what exactly is stopping DS games from running in EmuNAND now? Since the new exploits don't use TWL_Firm (if you don't use the new mset hack, that is) I have thought that this shouldn't be a problem at least in Classic Mode
