Someone want to test wad install to realNAND?
It will be used to update the full channel (in case I decide to update it).
bootmii @ boot2, and NAND dump restore capable users only please.

Or someone with a sneek/neek2o can launch the loader from neek, and try installing channels without danger to emuNAND as if it was realNAND.

Is it compatible with vWii?

yes but there's no way to unbrick vWii so I wouldn't recommend testing it on vWii.

Edit:
I'm trying to setup neek2o NAND to see how it works.
I used modmii to generate the r96 files.
I make sneek+di, I can boot to a clean NAND (4.3E), or my own dumped NAND (3.2E), but there's no menu when I press "1" button. It only freezes.
I tried launching HBC, and it black screen'd.

I don't know what I did wrong.
I'll try uneek+di instead.

edit: Maybe it needs the folder /games/ and at least one fst extracted Wii game to mount/list it?

Use Crediar's SNEEK Installer together with neek2o r96 files (don't use Crediar's r194 files) to set things up. I did that and my emuNAND (uneek+di) is working fine, games list is there. Maybe the /game/ folder is required, but I'm sure you DO NOT need any extracted game for it to work.
About the Homebrew Channel, I loaded it from inside the emuNAND once and also got black screen. Never tried again.

Use UNEEK + DI it's what the majority of us use!!! Modmii sets it up perfectly

I'm on a regular Wii with usb-powered HD. I have USB Loader GX to start from Priiloader and had no problem with this setup in r1239. I tried r1243 and from that version i often boot right in to system menu after full shutdown (not every time). I then tried r1244 and same thing happens here only more often. I guess the harddrive isn't starting fast enough. Not a big problem as I can just start it with the forwarder in SM instead but just thought I would report it.

That could actually be quite helpful.

Anyone else having issues with the later versions also booting directly to the launcher?

I'm having an issue with games freezing up on me at various points. I'm playing on a WiiU's vWii running version 3.0 r1239, launching through the HBC. I've got 4 games on a USB powered HD, and all of them will eventually freeze when I play them. It's never at the same point, or at the same amount of time played, Sometimes it'll hang during a loading screen, sometimes it'll hang during gameplay. I imagine I could finish all of these games if I just save frequently, but having to hard-reset my console every so often gets rather annoying. All of my games are 1:1 rips, so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Thanks for neek2o setup info, I'll try again.
HBC doesn't work? I remember using it on Sneek. 1.0.6 worked, maybe 1.1.0 doesn't anymore.

Booting directly from Priiloader to USBGX is good only if you have latest beta of priiloader which provides AHB access.
If you use latest release (not beta) you need to boot to forwarder instead or you'll miss some features (banner layout, nintendont and devolution).

I don't know why HDD initialization would be slower, I didn't touch the boot sequence in the past few revision, except r1244 adds a single text to the screen. I doubt the added text boot faster, not letting your drive wake up fast enough.
These HDD init issue are crazy, it's random and not logical. Some user can't even boot or init the drive at all.

satire:
If you are on WiiU, is your drive externally powered or using YCable?
if it doesn't have enough power (wiiU USB Ports has less power than Wii) the drive will not work correctly.

if it's not the issue, it's maybe the HDD sleep timer?

It's not a loader issue, as the loader is not in memory anymore when the game is running.
It could be IOS or HDD issue, but not the loader.

It's being powered through a Y cable currently. Is that not enough power?

I don't know if it's the sleep timer, if it was then it would freeze after a certain amount of time, every time.

Are there any tests I can run to see if it's an IOS or HDD problem?

yes : try another HDD.
If it helps, the issue is your HDD or enclosure. (or Ycable too long? bad?)
if it doesn't help, there's not a lot you can do. Maybe switch cIOS version or base. If you have r53, try r52. If you are using base56, try base57, etc.
Don't use EmuNAND save, some game are not compatible.

There's not much you can do to fix random crashes while in game.

Actually I been having a slightly similar issue recently, a couple of times after I exited a game (in both cases was a real NAND game, so maybe that's the reason) and go back to USB Loader GX it fails at reading the USB and freezes the whole console, not sure why this happened, could be related to reading from real NAND, or maybe it's just a coincidence, do you know anything about this?

it fails when in the forwarder or when in the loader?
the forwarder is displaying a logo then fade to black and the loader launches.
If you don't even see the first logo, then it freeze at the forwarder.

I don't know why all these freezes are happening.

Since 3.0, there's a new update server so you will have to manually update to 3.0 or newer. Then, new version will be available directly from the update menu.
Like he said, look in the first post to download latest release (r1239), or in my signature to download latest revision (r1244).

If you want a channel on your System menu, install the Forwarder channel instead of the full channel which is old and not updated anymore.

If you already have a forwarder channel installed, it's maybe old too?
since v3.0 the loader is now using the graphics loaded directly from the official System menu theme to display banner animation, but it requires a specific HBC or Forwarder version.
If the loader tells you it can't load banner mode, you will have to update to forwarder 5.1.
It contains code to launch the loader from USB (if you don't want to use SD Card at all), and allows access to internal Wii data required by the loader v3.0+

If your Homebrew Channel is old (v1.0.6 or older) you will need to update it.
If you have an old HBC and don't want to update, you can launch from forwarder 5.1 instead.

r1244
Issue it doesn't recognize the HDD if loader boot with IOS58 and falls to NAND channel mode, it boots fine when using 251(58) though.

It's working now, maybe the drive got dizzy after the IOS change. Sorry guys ;c

strange things happening again :(
I didn't change booting method, except adding the version text, and setting IOS58 as loader's IOS if there's no found cIOS on the console.

1243 works fine?
