Hacking Xorpad generation on N3DS?

These are the things i prepared for my internal micro sd card for my n3dsxl and I even put together a video for it showing that it instantly boots into a blackscreen, these pictures show what I have prepared for it

What is the file size of your decrypt9.3dx ?
The one I'm using is 138,076 and has a CRC32 of E94C988E

If it's the same then it must be the SD Card.
Did you already try re-formatting it ?

i reformatted the SD card and even put emunand back on there and it still didn't work this is... strange

The left side is just showing the PC directory where I FTP'ed the xorpad files from my 3DS for safe keeping.
You can ignore those.

I included it in the photo so you could see that it really does actually work on a N3DS and will create xorpads files.

All you need on the 3DS is a directory named 3ds and the current decrypt9.3dx file in a folder in it.

Maybe try re-downloading the posted below link decrypt9.3dx file to make sure you have the latest one?

Right, so the .3dsx runs fine without any files in the root. When i have got files, it just causes a black screen, error has occured at home menu, then 3ds restarts


After a couple of attempts, the menu launches, I now get to the selection screen, which do i choose? Got it to work, I pressed A and it generated all the Xorpads!!

Make sure you create your ncchinfo.bin file with the correct python version, 2.7.9, and latest RxTools. This way it will create more than 1 .xorpad file

Hem I didn't know you can run ninjahax thought gw, for the o3ds it was blocked after the 2.7 release. I'm going to have to try this now

You can run Ninjhax but ONLY if your emuNand is 9.2 or below. It doesnt work otherwise.

I'm aware of the 9.2 or lower aspect I am just pointing out that on the o3ds even if you have 9.2 if your launcher is higher than 2.7 ninjahax will not load. I had to install a cfw and a dual boot for it to work along side of gw

Looking at the video... are you running CN through Gateway, or do you have a cart of CN?

I wouldn't think this would ever work running from Gateway.
It will from a real cart or from a SKY3DS.


Follow Up:

Just to see, I formatted my internal SD and made a new emuNAND at 9.0.0-20U and tried to run this.
I can launch HomeBrew from my CN on my Gateway with no problems but I tried 7 times to launch Decrypt9 and it blacks screens, just as I suspected it would.

When I launch Decrypt9 from my sysNAND using either my SKY3DS or my CN cart, it works [almost] every time.

Bottom line: You need either a SKY or a CN cart to use this.

I never tried, but running CN from emunand in the past has given me problems if it even worked at all. IIRC gateway put in something to the 3.x launcher that basically broke the chain that is needed to properly run ninjahax.

What I am suggesting to do is on system nand run CN and hold L+R+X+Y to delete the save. Once deleted I would then try to run the qr tag again, boot into HB and try to run it.

I'll give it a try for myself in a min and let you know if I was able to do it but I don't see why it wouldn't when there are multiple reports saying it does

Yes, that way I know works because that's what I did.

Yea I mentioned that in my first post in the thread. I was actually kind of shocked that he was able to even run ninjahax on emunand.

I think eventually I want to see if someone will sell me a sky3ds red button so I can put like 5 copies of cubic ninja on there with different hacks as to avoid having to use the internet and delete the save every time
