First backup your NAND.BIN to PC and in Gateway menu > format emunand to prepare for emunand.

These aren't requirements to get into gateway mode though.

You need to unlink your sysnand and emunand. Take out your internal microSD and in sysnand do a system format in settings. After that insert your internal microSD back into your console. It will seperate both sysnand and emunand with a new folder in your microSD.

just to make it clear:

everytime I want to boot up the Gateway mode, I HAVE TO go through the whole procedure and use Zelda OoT to start the Gateway mode.
If I NEVER turn my n3DS OFF, I still can use the Gateway mode. When I turn the 3ds OFF, I have to go through the whole process again.

I was just thinking this may be caused because my sys and emu are linked. I was going to back up my sd card and put it back in to reformat then re-write my files back on. Taking it out seems much easier xD thanks for your help again!

Yes, you need to run the expliot again after you power down. But leaving GW cart in sleepmode is a bad idea. I read that in sleepmode the console do silent firmware updates.

You're not getting what I'm saying, what I was trying to tell you is that you should be able to simply enter gateway mode, and then press select to play the games on your red card without having to formatt emunand. Yet for some reason pressing select won't pop up the game selection screen for me...

My 3DS is JP 8.1 if it means anything by the way.

eShop version may be patched and with no expliots. Also you will need a compatible save game file. Maybe using savedatafilter can convert saves.

Sorry. Did you try to reformat your microSD or maybe use another speare microSD and recopy your roms?

Can anyone manage to load the exploit savedata of OoT3D with any different memory cards other than the internal 4GB toshiba class 4?

My New 3DS only loads Launcher.dat from the internal microsd card that's come with my New 3DS. Other microsd won't work after pressing A button when Link is appeared.

I read it happens before. Also it might nag you to update. I also remember Nintendo said something about auto-updates with Streetpass. Some people go through great lengths to stop accidental/force updates by blocking Nintendo servers in thier router or add fake wireless password on all 3 internet connections.

"With SpotPass, the system is able to detect wireless hotspots and LAN access points of many public services such as restaurants, and automatically download content, updates and more to the system. This mode works both when the system is on or in sleep mode." <-- I don't trust Streetpass or Spotpass. Never had it enable.

Could you please tell me how did you get it work? I did format/write rom exactly the same as I did with the internal 4GB but everything I press A button, my 3DS will crash with black/white screens.
