on my town map i have multiple ? corresponding to ID [0x00020039] These are bamboo stalks.

also quick question, would it be possible to edit the inside of villager houses in the future? I have a few villagers with butt-ugly house interiors.

Yes, its near the end of the villager structure, before their catchphrase iirc

Great work so far! Just 2 suggestions:

1. Is it possible to display coordinates on the side when editing the map? Right now I'm putting objects in the game where I want to edit and going from there.
2. Would it be possible to show in the editor where the buildings are in the town map, using the coordinates given in the "Building" tab? So that it can be easier to see stuff like houses, bridges, water, ramps, etc.

Those are my only concerns, but still, this is so exciting! Props to marc_max and all the contributors!

I can't for the life of me get the dumper to work. I've followed all the instructions carefully and have reset the browser settings multiple times with no luck. I'm using a regular 3DS on 9.0.0-20E.

Never mind. Not even 2 seconds after posting it decided to work.

I tried using the PWP editor and it seemed to work as the screen went green. However when I got back in game I still didn't have them all. I tried using it again and the screen went yellow, I still don't have them all though. Nothing changed.

God yes pls add coordinates so I don't have to count 80 spaces with my cursor, lol.

Also, in the meantime, while buildings don't show on the map, what I do is outline them with holes or flowers, since those show up in the editor, and then I know where they are. But yeah I hope the editor will be able to show buildings and such soon so I don't have to go through all of that. ._.

I just opened both acnlram.bin and garden.dat files on a hex editor and beside the very first lines they contain the same informations, can you tell me how the ram file is structured? where pockets start?

It's not a good idea to edit your garden.dat until someone discovers how the checksum is calculated, otherwise you'll get a corrupt file warning and your town will be deleted.

Don't worry :) I made 3 backups just in case, I'll try to see how checksums works but I'll do a trial and errors whenever I'm free.

Actually people could just update their sysnand to 9.0+ and then downgrade back to 4.5, but I really don't know if the problem is emunand or the gateway.

If you do that, the save file will be unrecognizable after you downgrade back to 4.5 because it will use newer forms of encryption.

RAM editor updated!
New features:
* Villager species editor (very basic for now)
* Island and box editor
* A few changes

As always: refresh the site (ctrl+F5) in order to use the new version. Also, I made some internal changes in order to clean code. Please, verify that it's working correctly (haven't tried to inject, but the saved files seems to be ok). Use it at your own risk.

That's what I do to. I really wish we could see coordinates.

EDIT: This doesn't have anything to do with my post above the dashes, but I just used the updated editor and pimped my island. I put all this stuff :]

Wasn't the new encryption introduced with 4.5+ games? EUR AC requires 4.5 :huh:

Playing any retail cartridge on a higher software version will result in the use of a newer save encryption. There will be no way to recover the save file.

On my town map I have multiple 0x000000006 tiles which appear as ? in the editor, but in the town are actually dead trees, as well as a 0x00000000b which is a heart stump, 0x00000000f which is an x stump.

This is only true for retail cartridges that have a firmware with a new encryption key built in them. From what I know, I believe 6.0 and 7.0 both introduced new keys, so a 4.5 game should work on any firmware

I thought it was like that too, that's why I said so. :mellow:

Edit: I managed to modify garden.dat with an hex editor, of course it corrupted my save cause of the checksum like NeoKramer was saying. Is there any way to use a debugger on the 3ds? just curious
