Il wait till somone finds a way to launch this exploit with a sky3ds with OoT on it, I'm not going to lose my save, I put many hours in it, I guess I could backup the save but still il let yall risk bricking your new 3ds, when the all clear comes I may jump in just to try it out but if no suoer stable 3d then this release is a disaster imo. They should of told people during the tease that super stable 3d wouldn't work.

Yeah they did. Save dongle is an extra piece of hardware. OOT is an extra piece of hardware.. And you have to launch OOT every time and load a save to initiate the exploit...

It works again if you exit sleep mode.

Also like they said, they're releasing a solution for the impatient ones, and those who have the game, if you don't you can still wait until an alternative solution is released(that does not actually require any additional hardware).

We don't know if sky3ds 'presents' itself as any particular cart while in gateway mode. It may only become active on the regular home screen. If this is true then there will be no way to use sky3ds to run this exploit.

Hopefully someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

It seem people have problems reading.

They just released what they have now, and are still working on alternative entrypoints for New 3DS.

Or would you rather wait indefinitely?

Cubic Ninja will be their next entrypoint, which will probably just work like Ninjhax (scan a QR code and no save dongle needed)

So after 3-4 Months since announced THIS is what they have for us ? The said no additional Hardware was required. I would hate to think if this is their solution after so long, it will be a year untill they give us anything else.

If this works on o3ds it would be a alternative for using the Browser exploit in 9.2, so you have a New offline method to Start gateway

For those worried about needing new hardware.
Remember they will be supporting Cubic Ninja soon. Which means that you will not need a dongle or an old 3DS. With CN you can QR the save into the game, as was with NINJHAX.
That is all. I will be enjoying on my N3DSXL now, since I have a savedongle, OoT, Cubic Ninja, and OG3DSXL

Thank god for my zelda collection, oh god YES. I have 2 copies of this game and a save dongle.

They list emunand, but does that mean they can support 9.5 emunand on the new3ds or are we still stuck with 8.x-9.2?

Also loading a game to start gateway is kind of depressing, lets hope they do end up making a method that doesn't require an additional game card.

after you boot the exploit, it boots into gateway mode, from which point you don't need the sky/oot

This is why people are upset. The "oh, they released something and people just can't be pleased either way" apologists can shut right up. People CAN be pleased - if Gateway would have stuck to their guns about not needing additional hardware. I don't think the broken super stable 3D is that big of a bug, but the whole rain dance you have to go through (inc'l buying the rainsticks, headgear, ritual bones, etc.) to boot into Gateway mode doesn't even seem worth it.


Those who are claiming this dreadful release is a "win" for the mod scene don't understand that it's a Pyrrhic victory.

I don't get these people. Let's say a single game was 30$ (of course they're more expensive usually). 15 games x 30$ = 450$ + DLC.

To be fair when they said no additional hardware required the ywere talking about 9.2 supports on Original 3DS and 3DS XL.. not the NEW ones... you cant expect them to never requiring new hardware. N3DS is brand new hardware... ofcourse it will work differently.
