1. False. They have a history of making slightly to noticeably lowpowered consoles so the end user can AFFORD them. You should not have to pay $600 and up just for a piece of hardware to play games on, ESPECIALLY if you are a "casual" gamer or are in it largely for local multiplayer
2. Also false. The issue with third party support is that many third parties saw the current condition of the Wii U's sales and bailed on the console because the did not want to risk being part of a major failure.
3. As for Skyrim, Nintendo has already stated that they are hoping to make Zelda akin to it in the open-world aspect. If they did not expect at least some of their install base to recognize what the heck they're talking about because they've either played or heard of it, then why mention it.
4. Why would Nintendo release resources/assets from their own games? It's THEIR intellectual property, they have the choice as to whether or not they want it to be re-usable for other companies
5. Wut? You can create an exclusive for the Apple II in this day and age, that won't keep it from being a good game. Bad design is what makes a game bad, not the hardware it plays on. Third parties may very well have that mindset, but that's a REALLY poor excuse on their part
6. One of those models is the original, the next was in response to CONSUMER DEMAND that a model with a bigger screen come out, the next was an economy option targeted toward children that has been received pretty well (I own a 2DS myself, it's a capable machine), and the last two are refresher models with higher power. Almost every Nintendo console to date has had something similar, and I have not seen anyone calling them "greedy" because of it yet
1. Nope, up until the Gamecube, they had one of the best if not the best hardware of the generation. Every generation.
2. Sales were never an issue. Every new console starts slow, but still gets third party games. Every console except Nintendo's. PS4 and XBOne only recently surpassed the Wii U, and already have better support. The Wii had sold vastly better, and the third party support was abysmal.
3. It is another thing to mention something in a presentation, another to actually have competitive games on your platform. Nintendo first party sells well because there is no competition. What other good games you can get on a Nintendo console except first party?
4. Every console owner, that licences the right to release games for profit, should be obliged to release documentation and proper tools for their platform and compete on an even field. Sony and Microsoft and SEGA earlier than them provided everything for third party developers, because those developers contribute both to their success and their profits... It is a poor deal for third parties when the console owner wants to undermine them for software sales with nasty tricks like withholding information.
5. No. Exclusive games are tailor made for the hardware. That is what i meant. Multiplats are not.
6. There was not a consumer demand about those models. I never saw anyone online demanding new models. Nintendo just tries to milk its fanbase. Especially with the "New" systems.
You sound like a Nintendo employee by the way.
