Hacking MH4U Gift Item Not Showing

(I searched for both MH4U and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, so I sure hope this isn't already answered)

There's supposed to be a free gift package for getting the game at launch (within one month). I installed the 1.1 update that allows you to go into the gift section in the DLC menu, but when I go there it shows nothing. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it because I'm using the EU version on my NA console? I'm fully updated in emuNAND using Gateway.

You dont get it from the DLC on the main menu, you get it from the cat in your house on the game.

Load up the game, goto your house and talks to the cat (not your assistant cat, the other one) and click downloadable content, it'll be there. Bottom option.

yes, you have to use the same region and I think you can convert your MH4U[EUR] save to [US]

In order to download the free supply pack aka Gift Item, you will need to connect to your NNID.

You DO get it from DLC but for some reason you have to go to DLC in your house not outside the game. I think this is because it adds items to your box.

Talk to house cat
Gift area.


You have to be in the same region because this kind of DLC adjusts the items in your characters box and edits the save file kind of. Not sure if a CIA can even accomplish this.

That's because that decision from the eshop directly, that's why the procedure is like that

Well, I downloaded the 1.1 patch, linked my NNID, went to the housekeeper, selected gift pack and started signing in. After successfully signing in, it goes to a screen that says retrieving information but within seconds an error code (030-3537) popped up. Any idea on whats wrong?

I was using the cat, but it still didn't show up. I was thinking about converting to a US save anyway, so I guess I'll go ahead and do so.

You have to use the same region for this. No exceptions. It has to access your local eShop for this DLC to modify your save.

Having similar issue, go to download extra content and nnid login succeeds then I get code 030-3537. Using emunand 9.5 with retail US cart

Sysnand: 4.4
Emunand: 9.5
Region in system settings for Sysnand & Emunand: USA, California
Region in NNID: USA, California
Linked NNID in Emunand, able to access eshop to download the 1.1 patch.

Just wanna clarify, I match this exactly except I'm in a different state. No idea what to try except give up and update my sysnand and discard using emunand.

I have tried creating a brand new emunand on a separate sd card > unlink new emunand by system format > update to 9.5 > link nnid to new emunand > download the v1.1 patch.
But the error 030-3537 still appears.

Would like to add that I'm actually located in South East Asia, more specifically Singapore.
Not sure if this would cause the error though.

I'm in the US and match my region so its not that. I've scoured the web and this is the only mention of this error code. I don't think it's a connection issue, for some reason its related to using emunand on 9.5. It might be only legit carts on emunand.

I too am having the same problem, running into the same error code 030-3537 when running a retail Australian Cartridge on an Australian 3DS XL with Emunand 9.5.

I don't know about you guys but what I did was:
format a new gateway v3.04 partition on
uodate my sysNand v4.5U to emuNand 9.5
install the cia.
sign in my nnid
download the patch via home screen
Load mh4u
Talk to the housekeeper
then I got an error number (don't remember) but it said that I have to sign in eshop at least one time
started signing in (didn't download the patch because I already did)
go to the game one more time
retrieving information
and voila

ps: I don't know why dont' you guys install the .cia instead playing the rom with gateway
