I was looking into a new Seagate 1TB SSHD then I read reviews on amazon and newegg every 3 out of 4 reviews was a failed drive that needed to be RMA'd
it's got 5 fan slots! 2 in the front 2 on the side panel 1 on the back and a HDD fan slot.

In the past decade i have used almost exclusively Seagate HDDs and i never had any problem. The only HDD that failed was a 1TB Barracuda bought in early 2008, which had bad sectors 5 and a half years later. I replaced it with another 1TB Seagate disk and i have no problems until now.

I'd second switching the motherboard for a Z97 motherboard. (Edit: ninja'd) Everything else looks fine to me, and if you're not interested in overclocking, then there's no real need to get a AIO liquid cooler unless you like the aesthetics.

You might also want a solid state drive like the Crucial MX100 if your budget allows. Faster boot/loading times for the OS, main applications, and a few games... always useful.
Well yeah I decided on a z97 mono as it seems worth it. Likewise I will look into the best fan for my budget. Also I have considered a sad but I think I'll go without it fornnow and upgrade in the future

I worked out on my build to create this new build with a gtx 750 ti which I read is a great GPU for dolphin and in addition to giving it a liquid color fan. Upgrades to it in the future will include a better GPU, extra HDD, a ssd, and more ram. Anyway hope to hear what you guys think now

Here's a tip to save you some money since you didn't build it yet; Buy your Motherboard and CPU both from Microcenter. You get $40 off for combing it and and an extra $10 off on the rebate from the motherboard. You can't price match any item with rebate however as I tried before and the manager said she can't take a discount on a rebated item and something on that line but your free to try.

Here is what i bought me just recently:
https://www.mindfactory.de/shopping...2208b35d421dfa07e6bd46ad0de06547801e48795e10d

I also bought 2 Crucial MX100 256GB SSD some time ago cheap, that i use now in this system. Aswell as a Samsung 840 Evo 120 GB for windows swap file.
Had also a BD Writer in my other 5 year old system i use now in this one.

I dont use Harddiscs since i have a big NAS for Storage.

I must say that new system is worth every peny, even thought i find the GTX 980 to expensive.

SSDs are stupidly cheap nowadays for a 120GB or even 256GB model. Put your OS on the SSD and use an SSHD for mass storage. You'll thank me later.

Do you really need an ODD? Most people just download stuff now.
You might want to consider a better MB with more features, but that's on you.
Also Radeon 3xx is coming, maybe you'll want to hold the GPU until then.
Finally, it might just be me, but I found loading times and program startup rather slow with just a traditional HDD. Consider an SSD if you feel so too.

This has been called out as unfair/inaccurate before IIRC. I have the exact same one OP's considering since Oct 2013, no error so far.

its cool but im on the doubles of your pc 16ghz ram,corei7 3.7ghz turbo 3.9ghz,nvidia 2gb 2tb harddrive and latest motherboard. i bought this for gaming, photoshop and for adobe illustrator :)

Either you're trolling or you know nothing about PCs.

Might just be a typo, but there is no such thing as 16ghz RAM. 16GB is common, and I've seen RAM up to 4Ghz, but not 16Ghz. The Z97 bus speed is up to 1600Mhz anyway.

So what does this have to do with the thread anyway? Does having a system that has 'double' the specs of the build of the OP help anybody?
