"Give your mii gold pants", that's why I luv GBATemp. Gold Pants..., my mii running around plaza with gold pants on :O

Edit 28/01/15:- I just thought, didn't Gary Glitter used to run around with gold pants on when he was younger back in the day, I mean I don't want to be mistaken for a sex offender on Mii Plaza, that would be just awful!

I got my personal Mii to have gold pants. You just have to edit byte "94" and keep copying and sharing off. Just make sure to keep a backup copy of your old CFL_DB.dat if you miss being able to edit your personal Mii.

Hi @ all,

Question (especially to the creators):
How safe is this to use on Homepass ? Or with games that have Online/Mii functionality ?
I can´t think of Nintendo will like that there are unofficial special mii´s out there than their own official ones...

Do you think this could risk a banning from nintendo ?

We have three 3DS XL´s:
Two legit ones, with our own NNID´s that we use for our retail cartridges. Both on 9.2.XXX
Then we purchased another one only for gateway, with its own NNID, just to not put our regular 3DS XL´s and our NNID´s to risk of banning or whatever action Nintendo could be doing in the future.

I did this goldpants mii thingy on our gateway 3DS XL, and this very very neat indeed ;) Thanks btw for sharing this with us !
I liked this very much and would like to do that on our regular 3DS XL´s too, but i am a bit afraid, that Nintendo could do anything like banning etc because of this.
As the regular ones are on 9.2.XXX i wanted to do this through Ninjhax, as there is a extdata_dump.3dsx ;)

So i guess using the extdata tool will not show up on the activity log, or will it ?
But still, Nintendo could see the goldpants mii...

So i would really appreciate your thoughts on this, should i do it or not ?

And another question: If i backup the CFL_DB.dat for both consoles, i can always revert back to original status right ?

Quick sidenote: On both consoles there are many Mii´s in the MiiMaker, our created ones and some of the official special ones received through spotpass. Does that in any way matter ?
I put a mii on the second place (drag and drop in miimaker) that i would like to change, will it be still on the same place to be found in the hexeditor ?

Thanks in advance for your contributions

I don't think drag and dropping would change your Mii's in the CFL_DB.dat file...

As for how is Nintendo going to react... I doubt they'll be pleased, but at the same time, this is not like we're pirating a game/stealing from them...

I guess i am not smart enough to do this on our regular 3ds xl´s, and i don´t want to damage anything.
I managed to do this on the gateway 3ds, but there were just two miis, so it was very easy to do...

So if anyone please could tell me which values i have to change into what exactly would be very appreciated.
The attached image shows the appropriate lines for the mii´s that i want to change into goldpants (lady green in both cases, lines are seperated for both of the different 3ds xl´s)

After changing the values, i have to perform crcfix, note the number down, thats clear.

but know that i have not the 94 to look for in the mii lines, do i still have to use CTRL+G and search for the "C81E" value, or will this be different too ???

If it is the same C81E value, then i have just to replace it with the number that crcfix gave me and push it up to the 3ds xl´s via extdata tool and it should be done right ?

Thanks in advance

EDIT : If you can direct me to the values via line code and column number would be very nice

Not your fault, the tutorial is dumb indeed.

The best desctiption is wirtten on this post.

(convert the resulting values to hex so you can find the offsets in the hex editor)

MiiID is a 4-byte number
MiiID offset start at byte = 92 x (MiiOrder - 1) + 20

To make a Mii have gold pants just change the first number in the first byte of MiiID to 1 (e.g. 93 to 13, 92 to 12, etc).

Disable sharing bit located at byte = 92 x (MiiOrder - 1) + 56
Add 1 to the value to disable sharing if it's an even number.

Save the file after editing, use the program to calculate the new checksum and write it to 0xC81E, then save again.

BTW I tried making my main Mii have gold pants and it only made the Friends app freeze so don't do it.

thanks piratesepiroth, but really, i am not smart enough for hexing and stuff ;)
i saw that post before, but way to complicated for me :(

If you please could look at the attachment and tell me which values to change into which new values, would be very nice of you.
The lady green mii is not the main mii on both consoles, sharing and copying is turned off, i just want to use it for mii lobby games, makes the games more enjoyable with special miis.

For example on the bottom one you could tell me LINE 00000340 column 5, edit the "03" to "XX"
This way i would understand it very good and could change to the correct values.

i hope its not too much asked for ;)

Look:
MiiID is a 4-byte number
MiiID offset starts at byte = 92 x (MiiOrder - 1) + 20

So, let's find out where your 11th Mii is in the file:
92 * (11 - 1) + 20
so
92 * 10 + 20
so
920 + 20
so
940
now convert this to hexadecimal
0x3AC

You 11th Mii's data starts at offset 0x3AC.

so the bottom mii of lady green would be line 00000350 first column value is now 93, so i have to change it to 13 ? right ?

for the top one : line 000008B0, column 5 is also 93, so i change to 13 too right ?

and the rest is the same, i mean outting the new crcfix value to offset c81e ?

If this is right, i thank you very much sir, for teaching me new things ! GREAT of you ;)
