Hacking [Tutorial] 4.5 SysNAND + 4.5 CFW + 9.4 EmuNAND without Gateway

Through the settings>other> (hold L) DS profile. Once you get that to reboot to home you do the run bat IP thing with devmenu on computer and then restart 3ds to get devmenu.

Wait. WAIT. But HOW did you get the ds profile exploit without a flashcart?

I'm gonna redo the whole thing now as ive installed stuff i dont want any more. I will edit this post with steps when done.

1. Put GW launcher.dat and gateway.dg (use dg specific to your region) on SD. Downgrade from 9.2 to 4.5 via GW web exploit (load go.gateway-3ds.com with wi-fi off then renable wi-fi and refresh) you will need to backup nand before downgrade.

2. After you have downgraded you then format emunand via GW web exploit. When format has done boot into classic mode via GW web UI, the 3ds will create files, once that's done turn the 3ds off. (im currently doing this)

3. Put SD card into your computer and navigate to the extdate folder and create the"dbs" folder in the same location. Now create 2 new text files inside the "dbs" folder, "title.db" and "import.db". Make sure these text files save a db files (the icon should change from text to a cog thingy). (making drink gonna do this soon)

4. Put SD card back into 3ds and go to settings>Data management>3DS>Software. It should bring up a window saying the information is corrupted and asks you if you want to reset. You do.

5. Now you want to extract emunand stuff and add CFW as described in this guide.

6. Your good to go.

People where not able to answer me clearly yet, maybe my question was really not clear.
I will try to be more specific now:
I have a european 3DS working on 9.2, and a fully working emunand on 4.5 (I downgraded my sysnand, formated the emunand then got back to 9.2 with my sysnand backup).
I can boot the 4.5 emunand quite easily with the gateway exploit in classic mode (by pushing X button when asked).
Then I am wondering if there is any way to inject the 4.5 CFW with the devmenu inside the emunand, without having to mess up with my 9.2 sysnand. (maybe I am saying an incredibly stupid thing, please don't hit me )

Hmm I don't think GW launcher can boot CFW, there's a custom launcher.dat they use which you can't use for the Gateway Go exploit (in the browser), which is why you have to be on 4.5 to use the 4.5 CFW.

But why can't we use a custom launcher.dat with the gateway go exploit? Smealum is using it for his Regionthree, isn't it?

Smealum is doing something... different, I really can't explain it. As of now, (from what I've read) only Gateway's Launcher.dat works. There's a few threads on this forum with people trying to get around this limitation, check it out.

Check the ip on your router page, and no you CANT update, because you are going to update to 9.4 (not supported) unless you are using a game cart to update. Just use a emunand

I am using mobile hotspot, this an issue? and I know my 3ds in aswell

so i don't have to go out and buy me a 3ds flash card now i can do all this and run the cfw with just the sd card right? and if so thanks

The CFW is just put on SD card and loaded via ds profile exploit (hold L and press ds profile in settings).

I've added CFW with just a SD again just to make sure none was needed and it works fine. I posted my steps now.

The CFW is booted on your 3ds via the settings>other> (hold L) ds profile. That will boot the CFW, you will return to home screen then you import the dev menu via your computer as described in this guide.

Many people here are freaking out and its fun to watch. Basically you guys need to read carefully how this stuff works before you understand how we are doing it successfully. They all load ROP into the DS portion of the firmware. ROP loaders are the exploits that allow code execution of any unencrypted code. You need to install the normal homebrew 4.x exploit for the hold L thing to work. I suggest 3dbrew.org. Take a gander and you might like what you find out.

They all load ROP into the DS portion of the firmware. ROP loaders are the exploits that allow code execution of any unencrypted code. You need to install the normal homebrew 4.x exploit for the hold L thing to work. I suggest 3dbrew.org. Take a gander and you might like what you find out.

This. At the very least know what you are doing to your console before blindly running stuff. No need to know exactly how it works, but at least what it's doing. A little tech knowledge goes a long way.

I now know the hold L think is not working for me and I know its because i do not have a ds flash card. so did i wast all of my time here? am I not able to run the 4.5 cfw with out a flash card?
