There is a possibility that this user is part of the Gateway team and this is a patch for their launcher.
Am I wrong?

Probably just means a patch to enable the Gateway card.
I googled for boot.12.8.14.zip and found this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/go-exploit.378049/
Apparently, MathewE is a well-known PS3 hacker.
It's possible they were thinking of mathieulh. I've never heard the name MathewE mentioned in relation to PS3 hacking, and a google search turns up nothing.

This has been known for a while now. He/they will be keeping it to themselves

Edit:
asm starting from 0x0010 would translate to

Code:
USATNE LR, #9, R2,LSL#13
SVC 0x3BE35F

Interpret it however you want

Thus reinforcing the stereotype that many hackers are, by and large, cowardly braggarts who only get butthurt when their precious "I'm keeping this for myself" hacks get leaked :creep: No one can be trusted in the hacking scene, there's always at least one person brave enough to leak hacks behind the backs of said hackers, much to the joy of helping further said scene. This PS3 hacker, Matthieu can piss off XD

Literally entitlement: the post

I don't get you, most of the time you're whiteknighting devs everywhere and then you simply shit on them when you don't get what you want. You can't code, neither can I, so too bad. It sucks, but it's their work, we can only shrug and keep watching as the useless leechers we are who can't code for shit. "No one can be trusted in the hacking scene!! piss off devs!" luls

I stopped being a lurker and created an account just to show my sheer excitement for this to actually be a thing!
I would jump in and help but sadly, I have little to no experience in software (Despite being a software engineering student). When will I ever learn something that isn't an outdated programming platform? XD
Nevertheless, I'll check things out for myself but no promises since I have no idea of what I am jumping into XD

For definitely nothing, it seems. Sent a message to him, he replied saying he'll be keeping it a private project among his friends.

Wow how nice of him.

I know it's his work and he has every right not to release it but I find it so infuriating that he would hint at his work, keeping documents unsecured in a rather public site with no intention of doing anything useful with it.
