O

When you format, you do need an internet connection, but don't worry, they won't update your console. it scares everyone, but just rest assured, you will remain on 9.2 or w/e fw you were on.

.
So my big question now is which one of these would be the best way to handle the situation,

1) Format System Memory with SD card removed

2) Launch gateway exploit and restore the backed up NAND made with 9.2

3) Attempt to downgrade to 4.5 (No way currently to get back to 9.2, or could I upgrade with 9.2 NAND?)

N3DS update won't appear for a long time because GW is waiting for smea to sell them a new exploit

Also GW is waiting for the N3DS to come out in America so they can have more customers

I got all this from very reliable sources

soooo i caved and bought myself a Gateway and Samsung EVO 32GB SD (enough space for .cia updates and DLC) and microSD 32GB card (for more then enough room for my game backups).
Gateway was €72.50, the SD was €21.75 and microSD €17.75. €112 or $132.40 (shipping included) think i got a good deal or got ripped off ?

either way for the price of 3 full games you get "homebrew" so everybody is happy

i'm still a bit weary of the downgrade though, dont want to brick the system doing something stupid.
do you update emunand, and seperate SysNand and Emunand BEFORE you downgrade ? or do you update emunand, then downgrade, then format sysNand ?

and if i decide not to downgrade until the gateway teams says its safe, if somehow get the update nag for using wifi to run exploit does formatting sysnand remove that nag ?

its not true
if you check gateway and SONYUSA youtube , you see videos from n3ds running gateway launcher
there's no doubt that gateway team are pro reverse engineers , and they are replying to new 3ds emails with this message:

Thank you for your patience.
Give us a few days to check feedback on the new Ultra firmware and we will be
able to confirm release date for New 3DS. It won't be long.

Need help on this issue: Everytime I shut off my 2DS and re open it, I have to unwrap my .cia files every time. How do I stop it from doing so?

Also, whenever I'm on emuNAND, I have certain apps(Super Smash Bros. cia/System Setting) that make me go back to sysNAND after I close down the app. How do I fix this?

Just got my Gateway cart, and I'm having problems with Pokemon Omega Ruby.
Using a non-trimmed rom, I've injected my Super Smash Bros header (dumped myself) into it, and changed the extension to .3dz, but when I try to open it in the Gateway I get a "Fragmentation Error".
Do I need to use a header from a card2 game? or is it something else?

Fragmentation Error has to do with the microSD card you are using. It often happens when you delete games and overwrite the cleared space with other games.
If you didn't do that then you should try another microSD card first.

Another question: Do you use the Gateway on a 3DS or a 2DS? A couple of 2DS users reported a Fragmentation Error.

Well, I haven't deleted anything, and the other roms on the memory card work just fine. Unfortunately I don't have another memory card to test with, so I'll try to format it and see if works.

Yeah, your best bet might be to write all the ROMs in one single process or just the Pokemon ROM for testing first.
